Have ditched my break dancing career to concentrate on being a nurse full time. Work as a practice nurse in Aberdeen. Living in Oldmeldrum with Mr T and our faithful hound Fletcher. Getting married in Italy in Apr 09. Have not done much of the planning of it as yet but I have practiced writing my married name a few times which I'm sure will be helpful.

    • It's cold in New Zealand

      Hi Folks

      Well, we had fun up the east coast. The whitsunday's were my favourite I think. I actually snorkelled the barrier reef and avoided all sharks. I'm sooo nails.
      We arrived in Cairns and met in with our good friend's julie and Ross. Unfortunately it was cloudy for a few days so we had to spend those days in the pub. So sad. Met a good friend called Bazza too (he's too street for us though).
      Well, we then flew back to Sydney (very turbulent ride, but, as I said, I'm nails). We met in with our friend Alan again and enjoyed spending some more time in Sydney.
      I was slightly nervous about flying with a Chilean airline to NZ but I wasn't in the back with lots of chickens and it was a cool flight. New Zealand is much colder than Oz but so beautiful. Spent a couple of days in Auckland then headed up to the Bay of Islands. Drove down to Hamilton and we're now in Rotorua. Went on the luge today and going Zorbing tomorrow then off to Taupo. Only a few days and I will be reunited with Maitland and Whitten. I can't wait but Steve is slightly nervous. Anywho, I better go. Shall let you know how the South island goes - the snow is mental there just now.

    • Travels continue

      Hi folks. Well, we left Melbourne and headed to Sydeny stopping in by a few places in New South Wales on the way. Arrived in Sydeny and stayed a week. Absolutely loved Sydney. Met up with some friends of ours too, Alan, Laura and Kate. It was really good to see all of them and obviously alcohol was involved in the entire process. Did the usual tourist stuff, Bondi, Manly, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, drank copious amounts of alcohol etc. After Sydney we went to pick up rental car to head north. Unfortunately when we went to pick up car they didn't have the economy compact (cheapest) car we had booked so they upgraded us to a Hyundai SUV. It's awesome!! Well from Syney we went to Coff's Harbour - Byron Bay - Noosa - Australia Zoo (Crikey! Steve Irwin RIP) and we are currently in Hervey Bay. Spent the day at Fraser Island yesterday which was really cool. Steve got attacked (ok, sucked) by a leach. it was gross, I took photos. Making our way towards the Whitsunday Islands today. Away to pimp our ride! Hope your all well. I'll get the pics up soon. Rach x x x

    • Adelaide and Melbourne

      Alright folks. Well from Sydney we got a flight to Adelaide and stayed there for four days. Really liked Adelaide, it's completely different to Perth. Hired mountain bikes and went mountain biking in a place called Brownridge creek and saw heaps of wild koalas. They were so cool but Steve wouldn't let me pick one up. Steve bought a video camera so spent about an hour videoing them which I'm sure you'll all be looking forward to falling asleep to. From Adelaide we got an Overlander train to Melbourne. The train was cool but an old lady behind me commentated the entire journey which was not cool. Staying in a youth hostel in Melbourne and have been here a week. Absolutely love Melbourne. Have done the usual tourist stuff (Museum, rialto tower, zoo etc) and really explored the city. Yesterday, however, was the single greatest day of my life. It started with a tour of Ramsay St and we got to meet that bloke who plays Fraser. He was really nice and pretty hot in the flesh. Then, in the evening we went to a Neighbours extravaganza. It was amazing! It started with Libby Kennedy singing an acoustic set. She was really good and sang the Dixie Chicks. My two favourite things rolled into one - Neighbours and the Dixie Chicks. Then, who came out but Madge, Dylan, Cindy and..........KArl Kennedy. Yes, the Dr himself. We then did a trivia quiz whilst the stars came round and spoke to us. They were all lovely (Madge was maybe a bit crap though). I took numerous photos and tried to touch Karl as much as possible. Then the evening ended with Karl's band (Waiting Room) playing. They were spectacular. I really wish I'd made my 'Karl your spigging awesome' sign that I'd planned. Anyway I managed to take some videos so once I figure how to upload them I'll share the legend that is Dr KArl with yourselves. I managed to persuade Steve to come by telling him that Cindy and Libby were quite hot but in the end he enjoyed himself as much as me and pretty much everyone there thinks Karl is a legend. Everyone was chanting it anyway (no not just me!). Well were are both quite hungover today so probably will just head into Melbourne city centre then pick up hire car tomorrow and making our way to Sydney.       Hi there Yes ur mum mentioned Louise's wedding, and I've sent a card down for some of u to pass onto her. Hope u have a great time there, no doubt it will be good to catch up with them all. Hope to be down in Banff a bit over the holidays, as my boyfriend lives there, so been in the area a bit over the last wee while... and with any luck will manage another trip to Pitsligo and maybe catch up with ur mum at some point. Can't wait for the hols as at the moment I have a very challenging P6/7 class and will be happy to see the back of some of them..not my fav yr group!!!!! Anyway have fun at Louise's would be good to see some pics if u manage to get any posted on here!!! Anne x

      Hi Rachel Just to say I put a wedding card for you through your mum and dad's letter box the other day. Had hoped to catch them and say hi but seemed as though nobody was there.
