About Me

Me, Myself, and I
SAVED BY THE GRACE OF GOD ;
Romans 10:9-13.....

That if you confess with your mouth, "JESUS IS LORD," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Happiness is contentment, a lack of desire for wanting anything....I guess that's most true when I've prayed, and am at peace with, and trusting God. Sounds cheesy, but really there's no greater peace

  • Hey people

    Well, quick update, things are going well at the mo. Life is busy, with working 9-5(/6) in London, commuting, teaching thurs eve and prepping the rest (?) of the time. It's cool though, I'm loving it. I'm really enjoying teaching, and learning great stuff from it, as well as imparting some really useful skills and language to people who really need it. Amen to that! What a joy.

  • Ok so now its hard

    I've been learning so much at Queen Mary's (QM)over the past 2 weeks, it's been a real privilege to get stuck in and contribute to research work-Raagh!! Brilliant! Google my name and see the 1st link to Molecular Genetics on M.tb to see my name listed-Raagh!! Whitechapel is extremely multicultural and there's a shop nearby called 'The Corner Shop'...I don't ever think that was quite the idea, but never mind!! Quite amusing! Cheap markets too, with bags and saris and okra among other strangley shaped veg.

    I've also met up with about 3 friends and 1 family that live up here, which is amazing...and I thought I was going to be alone here! I'm nothing but. I can't meet up with enough people each week!! Praise God for his goodness.

    On the other hand, it's hard to remember everything so quickly at work, from some, there's high expectations, that I don't meet, and certain working relationships prove difficult. However, Praise God for sufferings, along with his gracious provision of a stong Christian at work in our team of 12, doing rougly the same job, who is a great source of comfort, encouragement and strength. Praise God for the opportunity to work here, and pray for God's leading in my life as I look and wait for the next stage.

    That was a long entry!

    My first day went well! (apart from getting up at 5.50am!!). I love the building I#m working in-it's sooo snazzy and original. Orange carpets and pink and orange glass, open plan, 'floating structures' for seminar rooms and basement level labs you overlook from floor 1 - Rock on!

    People are friendly and multicultural-it's so nice! PhD, MSc, Techs, ppl from Sardinia, Uganda, Chile, someone from LSHTM (where I'd like to go study some day). Also, I have my own desk and mounds of stationary already! Sweet.

    Started in the lab today already after safety induction and COSHH forms (for you biologists). I'm growing some macrophages (white blood cells) so that the prof. can infect them with TB . HAHA! Ahh, I love it already, and the area (Whitechapel) too. It's soo Asian!!

    God's blessed me with some amazing friends in London and at home too, over the past few weeks. Amen!! I even travelled up with a really close girlfriend who started in London today-THAT is random! But amazing! God's provision surpasses me!!

    In awe of God's working, Anna
