- I am married to Donnie. He lost a lot of his face to a rare cancer, his nose, top lip, upper palate, facial bones, forehead and part of his brain to the 3 stage 4 tumors. BUT he NEVER lost his faith!!! We have REALLY learned to trust in God through all of this. It IS hard, often breathtakingly (is that a word?) hard.
Do we get discouraged.., YES!!! Are we lonely at times, OF COURSE, but I honestly, without a doubt, even though I cannot see, feel or touch him.., I trust that HE is still in control. I really believe that He is there, wherever I am..,wherever YOU are. HE CARES!!!! Psalms 139
I have 3 beautiful daughters. Sugi ,Gina who has 4 wonderful children - Dylan , Collin ,Camryn and Devon and my baby, Jacinda Ann. Donnie has a daughter, Crystal who has 1 son and 2 daughters. He has 2 sons, Kasidy and Korey. We also have a daughter, Heather who was not born by blood or labor she was given to us via cyberspace!! I love the Lord!!!
I love the Lord! - Music
- We like southern gospel music, traditional gospel, black gospel, easy listening, jazz, praise and worship (some of it) fast songs, slow songs. Songs to cry to, songs to dance all over the house to
- Films
- We don't watch a lot of movies but we do like a good thriller or a good love story sometimes.The Notebook is one of my favorites.I liked Nights in Rodanthe. 88 Minutes. Suddenly last summer, To kill a mockingbird, Rear window(the classic) Vertigo.., I like a lot of the older ones.To much to fast forward thru in the newer stuff.
- Sports
- My grandsons and granddaughter playing, my fav sport!!!!
- Concerned about
- Not being the witness I need to be! I may be the only Bible that someone is reading. My life may be the only Christian life that someone is watching. The McKameys sung a song a few years ago called, "Getting used to the dark" I am afraid that we are!!! Lord, help me shine my light!!!!
- Happiest When
- My children and grandkids are well fed, in a comfy home. I love to hear my babies and grandbabies laugh and talk and sing.I love going to church and feeling that special feeling that just lets you know that HE IS THERE. Don't always feel the goosebumps but love it when I do!!!
Love talking and fellowshiping with my family and friends. - Praying for
- Cinda& Erik to be saved. Gina to make it thru this divorce and completely give her WHOLE life over to Jesus!!!, Crystal, Kasidy and Korey to be saved.Sugi and Heather (and my other children)to be blessed beyond measure, Donnie to be whole again, my Mom's mind to be restored and my Dad to have the strength to take care of her.

Southern Commandments (thanks Travis!) :)
Some people have trouble with all those 'shalls' and 'shall nots in the Ten commandments. Folks just aren't used to talking in those terms... So, in middle Tennessee they translated the 'King James' into ' Jackson County ' language...no joke, (posted on the wall at Cross Trails Church in Gainesboro , TN )
