Ok..im getting really anoyed with having conversations with people and tryin2 prove how much more dangerous horse sports are in general over 'football' n rugby' etc, i mean, there literally isnt 1 person who i know that hasnt being injured by just being around horses, never mind riding them! so many people get killed or have extremly serious injuries each year becuase of riding, rugby n football etc is in your own control, whereas riding, there are two seperate minds, hardly ever always thinking of doing the same thing! ppl say to me 'yeh but would you run at a 6ft odd muscled up guy' (NO i wouldnt cus im not that stupid!) but then, the ppl who ask me this wount even get on a horse their that scared of them! n they have the guts to say the others are more dangerous! say, would you get on a 17hh hot headed horse and run it upto a 4ft solid fence? would you try and get it down a 3ft drop that it can hardly see, would you attempt to tame a horse thats kickin out, rearing up, trying to bite u etc? (on about the higher level stuff btw!) i think i know which 1 would be more scary! infact, a big enough argument is which is more difficult, they see riding as 'kik it n pull it bak' ppppppft wish it was that easy! infact to 'kik n pull' isnt right at all! it takes so many years of pain and fear untill you can even start to get it right, i mean most of the pros are like over 20yo n have being riding since they were born, and still they make so many mistakes! the whole of our bodys are at use the whole time whilst riding, it can be sooo tiering, infact i cant even explain how hard it can be! not every1 can ride upto a certain level, yes u can be trained to do it but it doesnt mean u can still actually do it right, ball games u can be easily trained to do, and its actually only yourself that needs training, but we have to train the horses too! it really pisses me off when ppl say 'oooh horse riding is easy, its not a sport all u do is sit der n kik it' yeh well to those ppl, all you do in football is kik a feckin ball around! n when u think about it thats literally all it actually is! im betting 90% of us have had near death experiances from riding and had at least 1 broken bone from it, i know i have!! r actually knowsomeone who was killed! how many footballers can say they almost got killed playing football!! i know there are more dangerous sports that riding, but y'no what i mean!
