Well She did it!!! Olivia Crawled!!!! YEAH how exciting is that?. We are also excited that the church in North Bend, OR has called us back and they are really trying to see if they have enough money to pay for our housing, if so that would be great. That's really all we are looking for when it comes to "pay" from the church, and to top it off Heath is #1 on the list there for the Union. As soon as we get a call we could move there as long as God has all the wrinkles out by the time they call (he will I know). The pastor is in Africa so please pray for him and his son while they are there ministering. God knows what we are capable of enduring and he knows when enough is enough and I know that God wants us in OR and I know that everything will work out for good as long as we trust in him. We really love those kids we met and are very excited that as long as it's in the budget we get to love and care for them as we learn who they are and who their families are. So we did not end up with that Youth group in North Bend, OR. We got asked to come and then told that they chose someone else. So how weird is that? God is definitely leading us on this path of least resistance and it's so very frustrating but we can do it. We did however get a call from another Pastor in Pasco, WA...only 90 miles away from my home town, how awesome is that, isn't God great!!! So, Heath talked with this pastor for like 15 or 20 min last night (oct. 11) and it seemed productive. The pastor didn't have Heath's Resume in front of him so he told Heath that he would be calling him back. This church is in the middle of a remodel for the Youth building and this pastor used to be an electrician and so he is doing the majority of the work on this building electricity wise. How awesome is that, the church saved so much money like $55,000 worth of labor and all that good stuff so wow isn't God good where he can bless the church with all that work and save them money!!! Well I think that is it for now, other than my sweet little girl, she is really trying to crawl and instead of crawling she does this bear thing where her feet are on the ground and so are her hands but her rear is in the air, it's really funny. So Olivia is getting big and she gets mad cause her favorite place to be in underneath the coffee table and then she tries to sit up and then starts crying cause she hits her head. Anyway, that's it. Ok so most of you that get bebo are gonna freak when they can barely check it anymore and I am going to go CRAZY cause the people I talk to won't talk back but like 1 time a week. AHHHH... I am gonna go Crazy!!!
Anyway that is not the point of this blog... We are waiting on God for a Youth Pastor Job. We have a place that the pastor really wants us to come in North Bend, Oregon.. So all of you coming to the PNW Winterfest would see Heath and I in major action with a group exciting right?? Well... we have to go meet the kids next week and from what I've heard it's going to be a rough transition...I'm not saying that every transition is easy but I mean these kids LOVE the Youth Pastor they have and they even said that it's going to be hard to find someone they like after all they have been through with him. So we get to meet these kids Sept. 7th for Youth Group and we are going to hopefully win the hearts of the kids that Wed. then after that if we click well with the kids it's adios amigos in Cali. we are headed North... North Bend that is. It's going to be hard and nothing in ministry is ever a cake walk... we were going to go and preach to the church for sunday night, but Pastor Comer said that wouldn't be the best thing since they are having the going away dinner for the old Youth Pastor that sunday...hehehe....lol how wrong would that be us coming to preach at his going away party??? WOW... so we are going that wed. the pastor is really excited about us and we are excited about them and hopefully everything that needs to be worked out will be. God is moving in such a mighty way for Heath and I right now...We need lots of Prayer!!! God is leading us towards this and the Pastor has said God is leading him towards us and so here we are on the very corner about to make a sharp turn in our lives into ministry and loving people for them and making them feel comfortable to be able to be with us as "Youth Pastors" I know God will be gentle to us and he will be over everything.
