MY FAMILY is my life, my bestfriend, soulmate and life partner Voldi Simi. Everyday is a blessing and we both treasurer the time we have with each other "life is tooooooo short". My gorgeous children Hemi-ta (15) and Amaree-Wiktoria (5) are growing up fast and every day they teach me something new. To my wider whanau you know who you are love you all. To my one and only sister Linda and niece Renee love you heaps, to my dad kia kaha life does get better, my little big bro "Buzzy" good for you keep working hard. My Mum, Uncle Pani & Ted love to you all above there is never a day that doesn't go by where I don't think about you and miss you more everyday.

    • Love - We All Crave and Need It ......

      What I love about weddings is more the stories behind every couple is more often than not, stories of patience, compromise, hurts, battles won and lost, insecurities, apprehension, but always in the end, love.

      Love. It is the one word that ties two human hearts together; defines the unnatural (or should I say natural) ties between family members; drives so many people to devote their lives in support of the sick, poor and marginalised; and it’s the one word that drove a Father not to give up on his Son. We live in a world where at an early age our children are bombarded by visions or substances that does not enable them to make good judgements or decisions.

      A close friend I know recalled playing rugby during his school lunchbreak when he was 13 years old. As always, the field was packed with hundreds of energetic boys, darting around like ants on a hot pavement. Without any warning, a boy wielding a home-made cricket bat swung around and hit my mate crack in the head, fracturing his skull resulting in a bone being dislodged from his skull and come close to piercing several arteries.

      After emergency x-rays, the doctors told his parents that they had two options: do nothing and he’ll die, or operate and he’ll most likely be severely brain damaged.

      They operated and that night my friend’s Dad came and stood at the door of his hospital room. Lying next to his son was another young boy on life support—this boy had been stung by a bee, run out onto the road and been hit by a car. As my friend’s Dad stood there, leaning against the doorframe, he quietly heard God say to him, “Would you give your son so that this other boy could live?” Not sure how to reply he remained silent, and again he heard the question, “Would you give your son for this kid?” Reluctantly, my friend’s dad stood there, shook his head and said, “No, no I couldn’t do that.”

      Ever so quietly he heard God whisper, “That’s what I did for you. I gave my son.” This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son.

      Deep down, we all crave love, or to be loved. And one the greatest moments in anyone’s life is to have the chance to tell a guy or a girl you love them, exchange a couple of nice golden rings and seal the marriage vows with a kiss and a cheer! After which the thought of sleeping around and being unfaithful, hopefully, will never be an issue as you have committed to love with patience, kindness, truth, honesty, without pride and always believing that true love never fails.

      Life is about love and its as important to every human being as food, water, clothes etc., without love our human spirit is dimmed and diminished. Trust yourself to love and good things come back to you in many, many ways.

      Kia Orana, Kia Ora Colleen Its a boy! Arrived 22nd April 2009 The lil man has alot of hair (well compared to when his sister was born) his name is Tutavake Tuiono Pouao, he feeds like a hungry horse every 3 hours, T just gave him a bath, now he's lights out and both kids are sitting on T watching Tinkerbell hahaha... Got admitted into Wgtn hospital Monday, induced Wed, had him at 5.09pm, 6lb 11oz (Iris was 6lb 14oz) he's long, with big hands and feet, long nails, very fair and that famous Pouao nose! Transferred to Kenepuru on Thurs night, then out Saturday. Then we both got admitted again to Wgtn hospital on Wed, back home now, he's still a little jaudice but sooooo much better. Iris loves him a little too much we have to watch her, she shares everything, even her runny nose! Hugs to everyone x us
