  • Social Relevance for Small Business

In the past, social relevance meant something was popular - whether a person, a movie, an educational trend, a political movement, etc. Today, in the Information Age, social relevance must include Facebook and Twitter. Today's social relevance also adds new meaning(s) to the "F" word. Friends, Fans and Followers - the more of any and/or all of them, the more socially relevant we are.

A couple of weeks ago Facebook surpassed Google in number of Unique Visitors to their site. That statistic has a lot of relevant weight in the world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Google and Bing are constantly changing search algorithms (which drives SEO experts crazy) and today Facebook and Twitter are included in search parameters by the major search engine players.

So how do we, small businesses, specs on the big World Wide Web universe, keep up, stay relevant and get found? How do we get Friends, Fans and Followers - which hopefully translate into revenue?

Writing this blog is one way. Creating as many ways as possible for people to find you by adding your Facebook Business Page and Twitter Business Account links in as many places on the internet as possible.

AAI | Assael Associates, Inc. has custom designed and created Facebook Business Pages and Twitter Business Accounts for a number of clients. Here's a couple of examples:

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Letici...

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/Excell...

    http://twitter.com/leticiaperforms

    http://twitter.com/eemperors

This article "Is Facebook Going to Change the Face of E-Commerce?" (http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/20... discusses how Facebook now has over 1,000 "shops" listed and more are signing up everyday. In another article from the same source, "Brands On Facebook And Twitter Favored By Consumers"(http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/20... it is discussed how Facebook and Twitter users have a tendency to trust merchants who are also on Facebook and Twitter.

It's a whole new world out there. Time to stop twiddling and start tweeting - and don't forget to put on a happy face(book)!

    Good luck!

  • We have decided not to participate in the current recession - join us.

Ever hear someone say, "Perception is reality"? It's a pretty powerful concept. If true, then if we all perceive something the same way together we should be able to make it happen, right? Sounds too easy to be true? Well, if it isn't true, then I guess the power of positive thinking is also a myth.

Felix Rohatyn, a renowned economist, believes that 50% of any economical condition is perception. Two people are laid off from the same company. One goes home, starts collecting unemployment checks and waits for things to turn around. The other, goes home, starts collecting unemployment checks and with some money he has saved, takes advantage of the time he now has to start a business he’s been think about for years, but never had the time to get it off the ground.

About three decades ago, we started our own business during a bad economy of double digit inflation, double digit unemployment and double digit mortgage rates - all at the same time. We kept our overhead down and were able to offer our clients quality work at affordable prices. It wasn’t a sophisticated business plan, it was what worked during a challenging economy. It became our business model.

Today, AAI remains a small firm with big capabilities. AAI assembles the right team of highly experienced design talent for any project on an as needed basis. Because we operate as a virtual office with a very low overhead, we are able to provide our design services at a very competitive rate.

We design projects that work. A large percentage of our business is through referrals. Our clients’ successes are our successes.

So join us in not participating in the current recession. We invite you to visit www.aaiDesigns.com and view our Portfolio first. Then visit twenty special categories with hundreds of images of AAI designs.

If you have a business, or an idea you’ve wanted to bring to life, email design@aaiDesigns.com or call us right now at 407-628-8936. We look forward to working with you soon and helping to turn this economy upside-down!
