April/May/June update...i know i know...im getting even worse at keeping in touch!!
Hey hey guys and gals!!
OK so ive been pretty crap recently and not written to anyone in ages!! Im sorry!! Its just its been a busy couple of months here!!
Well...first off Chloe arrived at the beginning of April and has been staying with me at Dads place for the last couple of months!! We've been having a great time together and its been great for us to sort everything that hapened in Nov out! Back to our old ways now...causing plenty of mischief and giving the Canadians a good run for their money!! lol!!
What else has been happening???? oh yeah.....Ive been desperately looking for a new job cause I'm leaving Pacific Capital in June when I come back to the UK. Ive been going to loads of interviews but most of them have turned out to be complete crap....for some reason they seem to think its OK to advertise a door to door sales job as a marketing position over here!! Looks like i may have now finally found the perfect job....doing PR and Marketing for a friends new store and best of all its in the fashion industry which i will just LOVE!! It looks as though (fingers crossed) that should be starting work on it all when i get back from the UK in July!! Am really excited about it!!! Woohoo!!
As well as all the job interviews Ive also been getting loads more work modelling....and paid work which is even better!! So far have done fashion shows for a few different local designers (Adhesif, Sans Soucie, Ayden Gallery, Honey Mustard!) and did my first job the other day with JC Studio which is a great Vancouver's designer....def a great company to get in with!! Also did some film work with a company called Enlightened Seduction... the guy is a motivational speaker who lectures guys on the "art" of seduction!! lol!! Its gonna be used on his DVDs and should hopefully be up on his website in the next couple of weeks or so...I'll send round a link to it all when i hear from them and you can all have a good laugh!! ;-)
Been having a few nights out cause a couple of my friends have gone back to the UK (everyone's leaving me!!) but other than that Chloe and I have pretty much been staying in and Ive been trying to save money for my hols! Really looking forward to coming back and seeing everyone (esp my poorly babes!!)....only just over a week to go now though so will be back in town causing plenty of trouble b4 you all know it!!!
Miss everyone tons as always!!
Hugs and Kisses,
Danni

Are you getting old??
According to today's regulators and bureaucrats, those of us who were kids in the 50's, 60's, 70's and early 80's probably shouldn't have survived, because...
1.First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.
2. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.
3.Then after that trauma, our baby cribs were covered with bright colored lead-based paints which was promptly chewed and licked.
4.We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, or latches on doors or cabinets and it was fine to play with pans.
5.When we rode our bikes, we wore no helmets, just flip flops and fluorescent 'spokey dokey's' on our wheels.
6.As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags. Riding in the passenger seat was a treat.
7.We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle and it tasted the same.
8.We ate dripping sandwiches, bread and butter pudding and drank fizzy pop with sugar in it, but we were never overweight because we were always outside playing.
9.We shared one drink with four friends, from one bottle or can and no one actually died from this!
10.We would spend hours building go-carts out of scraps and then went top speed down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into stinging nettles a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
11.We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back before it got dark. No one was able to reach us all day and no one minded.
12.We played chap-the-door-run-away and were actually afraid of the owners catching us.
13.We did not have Playstations or X-Boxes, no video games at all. No 99 channels on TV, no videotape/dvd movies, no surround sound, no mobile phones, no personal computers, no Internet chat rooms. We had friends - we went outside and found them.
14.We played elastics and street rounders, and sometimes that ball really hurt.
15.We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
16.We were given cowboy guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although wewere told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
17.We fell out of trees, got cut and broke bones and teeth, and there were no lawsuits. They were accidents. We learnt not to do the same thing again.
18. We had fights, punched each other hard and got black and blue but we learned to get over it and no prosecution followed from other parents.
19.We walked to friend's homes.
20.We also, believe it or not, WALKED to school; we didn't rely on mummy or daddy to drive us to school, which was just round the corner.
21.We rode bikes in packs of 7 and wore our coats by only the hood.
22.Our actions were our own. Consequences were expected.
23.The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke a law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law.Imagine that!
This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers and problem solvers and inventors, ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.
CONGRATULATIONS if you are one of them……Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!!!!!
You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as real kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good.
This my friends, is surprisingly frightening......and it might put a smile on your face: The majority of students in universities today were born in 1986........They are called youth.
They have never heard of We are the World, We are the children, and the Uptown Girl they know is by Westlife not Billy Joel.
They have never heard of Rick Astley, Bananarama, Nena or Belinda Carlisle.
