    • Laos

      very cool country, the people are laid back, its beautiful and so cheap, a bottle of whiskey=36p! we took the slow boat for 2 days down the mekong to luang prabang, met a big group of folk along the way. we chilled out there for a bit and enjoyed the cheap bevy. next was vang vieng, a crazy wee town by the river with no laws at all, you can order drugs off the menu in most bars and restaurants! needless to say the nightlife was good so we stayed for a week. we went tubing, floating down a river with a beer in hand stopping at the bars along the way. such good banter we did it twice. then we went south to Si phan don, 4000 tiny islands in the middle of the river, we stayed on a wee island with no electricity. we went to a festival to celebrate the death of some important local guy. it was like a wee t in the park except with dodgy lao pop! bizzare. loved laos, definately my favourite so far.
