Clyde 0-1 Stirling Albion
Stirling secured maximum points at Broadwood with a narrow victory over a battling Clyde side. The visitors almost took the lead when Martin Grehan's header struck the post and Scott Robertson saw his volley well saved by Callum Reidford. Adam Coakley's blocked shot was the closest Clyde came to a goal. Grehan headed what proved to be the winner in 38 minutes before David McKenna's penalty struck the post as Albion looked to double their lead.
Alloa Athletic 1-0 Peterhead
Alloa made it two league wins in as many games to retain their position at the top of the Second Division. The hosts spurned a great chance to take the lead in 14 minutes when Andy Scott blasted over from 12 yards. Bobby Mann had Peterhead's best effort of the first half with a 25-yard free kick that flew just inches over. Wasps striker Stuart Noble scored the winner when he popped up at the back post 15 minutes from time to tap in Scott's cross.
Stenhousemuir 1-1 East Fife
Stenhousemuir and East Fife had to settle for a draw at Ochilview. The home side took the lead in the fifth minute when Pat Scullion scored with a long-range free-kick. But the Fifers equalised in the 43rd minute when player-manager Stevie Crawford crossed for David Muir to head home from close range. Scott Dalziel almost won it for Stennie but his shot clipped the bar and East Fife failed to profit from a goalmouth scramble late on.
Brechin City 3-1 Cowdenbeath
Brechin were pushed all the way by newly-promoted Cowdenbeath before collecting the three points despite their opponents being down to 10 men. Keeper David Hay was sent off for a foul on Ian Harty after eight minutes. Rory McAllister missed the penalty, but Brechin took the lead through Steven Canning's drive after 31 minutes. John Dempster volleyed an equaliser, but Harty scored from the spot after the break when Neil McCabe handled and McAllister ran clear to make amends.
Arbroath 3-1 Dumbarton
A spectacular strike from Barry Sellars sent Arbroath on their way to victory over Dumbarton at Gayfield. The Lichties went ahead after 15 minutes when captain Sellars picked up possession 10 yards inside his own half before firing home an unstoppable shot. They doubled their lead just after the interval when Steve Hislop headed home a Marc McCulloch corner. Dumbarton's Roddy Hunter scoring from close range in the 89th minute, but Robbie Ross rifled in a Sellars cross.
