  • COA Golden Opportunity II - Part One

    COA presents Golden Opportunity II
    Date: 12th September 2010
    Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
    Arena: TD Garden
    Capacity: 20,000
    Management: Jordan Casanova, TK Jones
Pay Per View Theme: I'm Shipping Up To Boston by Dropkick Murphys
Title Unification Tournament Theme: L'Estasi Dell'oro (The Ecstasy of Gold) [Bandini Remix] by Ennio Morricone

I'm Shipping Up To Boston by Dropkick Murphys begins to fill the arena and the spectacular pyrotechnic display pours out from almost every inch of ceiling the Boston Garden has available! The crowd are on their feet, it's all madness and insanity the higher you get in the stands as every man, woman and child attempt to get either them or their sign noticed as they all vouch for a better position.

We then dive to ringside as COA's broadcast team, Brandon Kheller & Bryan Roberts who are eager to get this show on the road as Brandon welcomes the world to tonight's Pay Per View extravaganza!

    Brandon Kheller:
Good evening COA fans worldwide, alongside my broadcast partner Bryan Roberts, my name is Brandon Kheller and welcome to Golden Opportunity!

    Bryan Roberts:
Yes welcome fans. Tonight, Brandon we're going to see the COA Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship unified as Blake Eradist defends against Diablo Angel, Trey De Marc defends against Craig Knightly and the winners of those two matches face each other in our main event with both belts on the line!

    Brandon Kheller:
It's the most important match each of these men could ever dream of competing in, but only 2 will. Will it be Eradist vs De Marc, Knightly vs Angel, Eradist vs Knightly or Angel vs De Marc?

    Bryan Roberts:
I'd also like to take this time to thank Dropkick Murphys who as you can see are in attendance here tonight to watch the PPV in their hometown! They donated their song "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" for the theme for Golden Opportunity. It's available for download now! But now it's time for the first match of the night to begin.

    Brandon Kheller:
That's right. Bring out the Job Squad!

    | Opening Contest |
    Singles Match
    Chris Zyden vs. Jamo
Jamo jumps Zyden before the bell and tosses him to the floor, then goes out after him and continues the assault.

    Bryan Roberts:
Hmm, Jamo doesn’t normally do that?!

    Brandon Kheller:
It’s a new day Bryan, a new Jamo! I’m sure you’ll find out about that later..

Zyden rams Jamo into the apron as we see his new tattoo, but Jamo catches him with an overhead belly to belly suplex out of nowhere and tosses Zyden back in. Jamo with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker gets 1 but Zyden goes to the throat and rams Jamo shoulder first into the ring post, and Jamo tumbles to the floor. Zyden with a slingshot dive over the top onto Jamo on the floor, then rolls Jamo back in. Jamo starts firing back and goes for a German Suplex, but Chris flips through and catches Jamo with a sweet dropkick. Zyden covers for 2 and then into a chin lock! Jamo escapes and picks the ankle, but Zyden kicks him off and goes for a right, but Jamo ducks and gets a back suplex and both men are down. The referee counts and Jamo gets up first and starts running over Zyden with clotheslines and then gets another overhead release suplex for 2. Jamo ducks a right and hits the Rolling Germans and covers for 2. Jamo goes for the Ankle Lock but Zyden kicks him off into the corner.

Zyden tries a charge and gets back dropped to the apron but comes back in with a springboard forearm for 2. Zyden goes for the Zyden Bomb but Jamo backdrops out and goes for the Jamo Slam and Zyden escapes and hits the Pele Kick for 2. Zyden takes his time going up top and Jamo runs underneath him and then hits a moonsault for 2. Wow, we don’t see that out of him very often. Jamo goes for the Ankle Lock again and gets it but Zyden rolls through and Jamo crashes into the second turnbuckle. Zyden trie

    No-Limits Championship Tournament Final
    Apollo vs Marcus Cowan Fraser
The bell rings and both lock up. Marcus pushes Apollo into the corner and gets in a few right hands and knees. Marcus continues working over Apollo down in the corner. Marcus tosses Apollo to the outside and grabs a steel chair. Marcus drives it into the gut of Apollo and then cracks it over his back. Marcus grabs a ladder, tosses it inside and starts climbing up. Apollo quickly gets in the ring and knocks it over with Marcus falling to the mat. Marcus dodges a Cinyras Cutter attempt, but Apollo throws him into the corner and hits his dropkick to the chest. Apollo picks up the ladder that was pushed over earlier, sets it up, starts climbing, Marcus kicks it and Apollo comes falling off and into the corner. Marcus attempts a Death Valley Driver on Apollo, but Apollo jumps off his shoulders and pushes Marcus into the ladder knocking it over. Apollo grabs a steel chair, sets it up near Marcus, backs up, jumps off it, Marcus catches Apollo in the corner and Marcus literally throws Apollo down back first over the top of the steel chair.

    Bryan Roberts:
    That looked nasty.

    Brandon Kheller:
No more so than if the camera closed in on your face Bryan.

Marcus grabs the ladder and throws it over Apollo. Marcus grabs the ladder and continues to throw it over the body of Apollo a few more times. Marcus catches Apollo with a huge spinning heel kick. Marcus tosses Apollo out of the ring, hits the ropesand takes out Apollo with a suicide dive.

Marcus grabs a table and positions it closer to the ring. Marcus grabs a steel chair and tries to lock Apollo's head inside. Apollo breaks free, Marcus tries to hit Apollo with the chair and Apollo moves. Marcus then hits the steel ring post with force. Apollo irish whips Marcus into the steel ring steps. Marcus counters jumping up on top of the steps, turns, jumps and Apollo nails him with a steel chair. Apollo grabs another chair and throws it against the back of Marcus. Apollo puts Marcus on top of a table near the ring, goes up to the top turnbuckle, jumps, Marcus moves and Marcus crashes through the table near the edge of the entrance ramp. Marcus grabs a new ladder and tosses it inside the ring. Marcus sets the ladder up under the No- Limits Championship that is hanging above the ring. Apollo is back up, gets in the ring, pulls Marcus off the ladder and then starts climbing up over Marcus. Apollo touches the title a few times as he moves around on the hook. Marcus has Apollo on his shoulders. Apollo counters off hitting a sunset flip powerbomb off the ladder to the ring below!

Apollo is now climbing back up the ladder slowly. Apollo gets his hands on the title when Marcus pushes the ladder over and Apollo crashes in the corner and ropes. Marcus grabs Apollo, puts him up on the top turnbuckle, Marcus goes up with and gives Apollo a superplex off the turnbuckle onto a ladder below! Marcus also hit part of the ladder as he hit the superplex on Apollo as well. Marcus is back up, attempts another suplex on Apollo, but Apollo counters and hits Marcus with a Cinyras Cutter. | Match Eight |
    Triple Threat Elimination Tag-Team Match
    Tag Team Championships
    The Williams Brothers (Heath & Taylor) vs Austin 2.0 vs Chris Walker & Messiah {c}
Taylor Williams attacks Robert Stevens before the bell whilst Messiah and Walker were making their way to the ring. But the tag champs put a stop to that and join in the brawl that has broken out in the ring. Eventually the referee manages to get some order going and orders the teams to send a man to their corners. Stevens, Messiah and Heath in the ring to start off the match and the bell finally rings. Heath hits a running high knee on Messiah, and delivers a running bulldog. Stevens tags in Aaron Destiny. Destiny whips Heath into Messiah in the corner but misses an avalanche. Both Walker and Taylor tag in as the big men all square off. Taylor and Walker double team Destiny, but he fights them both off with headbutts. Destiny delivers a series of bodyshots to Taylor and hits an open hand slap. He gives one to Walker for good measure, and levels Taylor with a clothesline. Walker comes back into the fray with a facebuster, and goes for the pedigree on Destiny only to get dumped over the top to the floor as we head for another break. We're back with Heath, Stevens, and Walker now legal, and its Heath in control. Heath drops an elbow across the knee of Walker and holds on to it until it is broken up with a kick. Stevens takes a chance to pounce on Walker and pound him down in the corner. He whips Heath into the corner where Walker gets a boot up, and then explodes with a clothesline taking out Stevens. Heath comes back with a dropkick to Stevens for two, but Stevens answers with a chinbuster. Stevens hits a running clothesline in the corner on Heath, but as he heads to the top rope Messiah pulls him off to the floor. Stevens gives chase after him, but runs into Walker who delivers a spinebuster on the floor. Walker goes for the tag which he makes, and Messiah comes in with a flying forearm on Heath. Messiah hits an inverted atomic drop and bodyslam before heading up top for an elbow drop. Messiah signals for Sudden Impact, but Taylor puts a stop to it with a big boot. Walker runs off Taylor, and Heath goes for Afterlife on Messiah. Messiah is able to counter though into Demons Horns to make the cover and eliminate The Williams Bros.

Heath and Taylor Williams have been eliminated!

    Brandon Kheller:
    And then there were 2!

    Bryan Roberts:
    You mean 4, right Brandon?

    Brandon Kheller:
Shut the hell up Bryan. I meant 2 teams you idiot!

Messiah and Walker give each other a look of approval, but Destiny is in to deliver a clothesline taking out both guys. Messiah tries to fight back as Destiny talks trash with a chop, but Destiny puts him down right away with a headbutt. Destiny walks across the prone body of Messiah, and follows up with a bodyshot. Messiah pulls himself up and tries to fight back with a series of right hands. Destiny whips Messiah into the corner, but charges into a boot from Messiah. Destiny catches Messiah with a side suplex as he goes for the tag, and that gets a two count. Stevens tags in and delivers a running boot to a seated Messiah for two, and locks in a chinlock. Messiah fights to his feet, but Stevens stops him from tagging by pulling him down by the hair. Running knee lift by Stevens sets up a neckbreaker for two, so Stevens sets up for the Picture Perfect. Messiah fights that off, and kicks Stevens into the corner where he is able to tag in Destiny. Messiah goes for the tag, but Destiny pulls him off. Messiah delivers Demons Horns out of nowhere, and that allows both men to make tags. Walker hits Stevens with a high knee, and a face buster before knocking Destiny off the apron. Walker hits a spinebuster, and Messiah tags himself into the match. Walker takes exception to that, and Stevens sees the opening to ram Messiah into Walker and ro

Ha! Eradist you beat Villain with one box where pretty much all you said was your name because Villain had personal problems and was leaving OW. And you did it with minutes to spare. I'm pretty sure if he had actually promoed, you wouldn't have. :L Plus, if you read the results properly, you would have learned that The Orchestra of Wolves actually retired him. -Casanova

No, he retired himself because he got tired of the game. Not because he was embarrased by losing to you, believe me, I've talked to him about it.

  • Blake Eradist

You guys consider Trey De Marc the greatest person in COA right now? Let me just remind you all. I was the guy who retired the "legendary" Pretentious Villain. I was the guy who came to COA with his tail between his legs, hoping for a few paychecks .. but then I climbed from the bottom of the ranks to the top. I was the guy opening the show, but at Golden Opportunity I shall be closing it .. With the Undisputed Championship around my waist.

I guess I'll do some predictions too whilst I'm here; Jamo Liam and Derek Alex Sanders? Since I don't really know who he's facing. I want to say me, but I think MCF is better Jason Payne? Who's Matt Rydell? Diablo! Trey De Marc I think the current champs can do it Steven Arex? Who's Chris Michaels? Hmm...Trey vs. Diablo. I can't decide, I want my title shot, but it would be great if my partner won too!

Jamo Derek Scott & Liam Adams Alex Sanders Even though Apollo has been doing really well lately I'm going to have to say my good friend Marcus Cowan Fraser will win. Tough call...But Paynes been a roll so I'l lgo with him. As much as I'd like to say Diablo Angel...I gotta go with Blake Eradist. Trey De Marc, although Knightly will put up a good fight. I really want to win so I'm going to have to go with the Williams Brothers. Chris Michaels Trey De Marc

Trey De Marc promised me a title defense if he won at Golden Opportunity, I'd expect him to hold up his end. Perhaps after Marcus feels the full might of the Apollocalypse I'll put my title up for grabs too?
