PART III - THE ADDICTION OF THE WESTERN WORLD

The Narcotics (Drugs) Trade - The Height of Western Hypocrisy and Indifference:

Many young people in the Western world adhere to the notion that giving charity to the Third World is a moral obligation. They attend 'Live Aid' concerts and all that nonsense, participate in mass '24 hour fasts' and carry out activities such as shaving off ones head, running riot in the nude and so on all in the name for charity. One is usually frowned upon in the West if you have a problem with charity. In the Sinicized world, the concept of charity is laughable.

Yet on the other hand, in their state of apathy and indifference and ignorance about everything else besides giving charity (because somehow, adopting a billy goat for an African child will magically stop the internecine and continous civil wars in various African nations...), many in the Western world and especially the younger sectors of their society openly (sometimes) engage in the use of narcotics. One of the BIGGEST contributors to corruption, strife, wars, violence and poverty in the Third World is the Drug Trade. Narcotics originate from war-struck or poverty-ridden regions; most of the opium, heroin from Afghanistan and Burma, cocaine from West Africa and Colombia, cannabis from Mexico and the Philippines, methamphetamine from South-east Asia end up in Europe (where the demand for these drugs DIRECTLY contributes to the ongoing wars and disturbances in these countries).

The average Western youth can go on giving charity and going to Live Aid gigs whenever he or she wants and as long as he or she wants, in the belief that he or she is contributing to the betterment of the Third World but then at the same time at a party afterwards, snorts cocaine or smokes cannabis or takes meth, thus directly contributing to the destabilization of the SAME Third World that they so ignorantly profess to be saving through charities, 24 hour fasts, volunteer holidays working in shacks and Live Aid gigs.

Cocaine from Colombia that is trafficked through West Africa, where these African countries are ruled unofficially by drug lords, ends up in the streets and clubs of Europe and are the very same coke that some of the people I know in third-level institutions who talk about their use of and dealings in cocaine in Dublin night clubs and at the same time are the very same ones who have gone to African countries to 'help' out the poor, use. Coke is the number one reason for the ongoing civil war in that country and this drug is the fuel for the F.A.R.C. - Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. If Europeans really want to help stop SOME of the suffering in the Third-World, then they should consider telling their youths to stop being involved in coke use BUT I know that is not going to happen, as drug use becomes more and more accepted and drug laws become more liberal by the hour. Without coke, FARC would no longer have a source from which they can extract money out of, thus ending their weapons buying spree.

Heroin and opium from Afghanistan end up in Europe, only to be bought by dumbass college kids, not noticing that they are contributing to the suffering of that country. Heroin and opium is a big reason why Afghanistan will NEVER progress as it is shackled to a continous cycle of growing drugs and trafficking them out of the country to Europe (where it is at most demand and where a lot of affluent people are willing to spend on it) and thus giving money and influence to the Afghan warlords.
