I am currently a 4th year student at the University of California, San Diego. I am majoring General Linguistics, with a minor in Teacher Education.
Music
I listen to just about everything that relates to the Christian genre. I get in a litte bit of classical music here and there...and of course, my favorite: My husband singing me to sleep... :)
Films
Like I said, I'm a chick...and I love the narcissus I experience in watching chick flicks...Romantic Comedies...BUT I HATE SCARY MOVIES...HORROR FILMS...I'm pretty sure I was traumatized as a child and now in my adulthood, weird noises at night freak me out! Probably due to my own adolescent rebeliousness to my parents' advice, I watched scary movies anyway, but thank God I'm not completely diluted and uneffected by horror movies and the death, rape of the mind, and horror they entail... I'm still sensitive to those issues...and it's not right that kids are allowed to watch such atrocities and then society wonders why children are killing their parents and vice versa...it's being engrained in people from childhood due to these Hollywood/"The Other Sin City" films! If you disagree, good for you...I pray that your children don't end up killing you because they feel indifferent to the ideas of death.
Sports
I like baseball...football...ehh..no
 t so much. I love going to baseball games. My little brother played baseball...but I didn't get to see any of his games because he lives so far away... :( Not cool...
Drinks
Every time I go to a restaurant, the waiter/waitress tells me all the specials they're having on alcohol...Not EVERYONE drinks! I'm not completely offended, although I understand that alcohol is like a natural resource in our country...DRUNK DRIVING ALONE CAUSED ABOUT 17, 000 DEATHS IN 2003...I haven't looked up the current statistics, but I know it's something like: "Alcohol-related incidents kill more people than a combination of a bunch of diseases..." Not cool.

But I love Strawberry Lemonade which was first introduced to me by my honey...I was so sheltered...heheh...and I like mixing Raspberry Iced Tea with Lemonade...it makes me go to the bathroom a lot...hmmm...

I've also pretty much become a tea-junky recently...I went to a tea party...it's like a tupperware party...but it's tea! I know! That is soo cool! But anywho, I'm going with Strawberry Green Tea and Cherry-Rose Rooibos! and a few others...mmmm...just lovely.
Hobbies
Some of my hobbies include: curling up with a good book, hangin' out with my honey, obsessively cleaning my home, watching Romantic Comedies, counting the airplanes that go by (only when I REALLY have NOTHING to do...which isn't very often...Thank God!), spoiling my nieces and nephews, collecting books for my own personal library (I haven't read half of what I have...but I'll get to it in my old age), Wednesday Night Adventures, ignoring my body's need for sleep (what can I say, I'm a college student), improving my procrastination-abilities, spending time with family and making the best of any situation!
Pet Peeves...
I can't stand it when people smoke in front of doorways! I have to walk THROUGH the smoke in order to get inside or outside. It stinks! It's disgusting! And I think I'm getting cancer just from that! There are A LOT more second hand smoker DEATHS than first hand smokers. I don't understand why it isn't made illegal...it's more dangerous and kills more people than all the other illegal drugs put together! I just don't understand...tsk tsk tsk...
These are a few of my favorite things...
When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling bad...I just remember my favorite things, and then...I...don't...feel...so.
 ..bad... I lovvve FLOWERS... and I lovvvvve Hawaii! and I love flowers from Hawai'i!! Oh lovely...hmmm...i lovvvve botanical gardens...and i lovvvve rolling down grassy hills...i lovvvvve pictures of flowers...and flowers in my house and in my yard (sigh...some day...)
