Jimmy Eat World Dashboard Confessional Alkaline Trio New Found Glory Boxcar Racer Bowling for Soup These are all favourites among the emo world, but any band that has a stupid name that is supposed to convey emotion and darkness is good. You will find, upon listening to these bands, that they seem to 'sing' about the same sorts of things: depression, hate etc. Starting you own band is easy. Just get a few guitars and a drummer and make a lot of noise. If you are stuck choosing a name, might i suggest the following site, which brings up a host of stupid names that only emo bands would use: http://members.aol.com/Valdes379/Emo... Make sure the names of your tracks are either non-sensical, 8 line pieces of gibberish (see PANIC! At the Disco's album for examples) or one word titles that convey depression.
