I went in to this without any great expectations really, after the mediocre first installment and the internet buzz. I just wanted to see the Silver Surfer!

Not a terrible film, but not that good either really. An ok story, but as a comic fan some bits irritated me a bit. Some good CGI for the Surfer and the Human Torch, but Mr Fantastic, as before, was a bit ropey (no pun intended). I felt the whole Dr Doom plot could have been left out for a bit more surfer and for more "Oh shit we all gonna die!" moments. Sadly, as in the first movie, the finale just seemed to fizzle out. If i hadn't known what was coming (yay internet spoilers) i would have been pissed!

It was better than Spiderman 3 though...but maybe not by much.

So Download at Donnington 2007 eh? Fucking hell, what a weekend! Great music (and My Chem were there too) good food, some great people (damien 1, damien 2 and clarissa - everybody needs good neighbours) and of course some fannies, but it's all part and parcel.

Velvet Revolver, Wolfmother and Linkin Park were my highlights. I got crippled by some fat bastard when i was watching Korn too!

Twice today, i was almost shat on by birds. This got me to thinking "Wow, that's lucky, they missed!" Then i thought, perhaps a pessimist would say "The fuckers are aiming for you, and they won't miss 3 times!". A realist would chime in with "Shit happens," whilst there will always be some freak will say "It wasn't shit...".

So that's optimism, pessimism, realism and jism. Which would you go with?
