Well, Howdy to all you bored enough to read my blog.Here's the story of my trip to barca in 2007.
Way back in 2006 4 girls decided to plan a trip to barcelona. The countdown clock began as soon as the christmas vacation(For all u who don't speak american "vacation" is "holiday") was over courtsey of someone who shall remain nameless!!! So it started with 10 weeeks as each week went by the 4 girls all looked forward to the trip and were daydreaming during the work hours of the sites they would be seeing, the cocktails they would be drinking and the boys they would be meeting !!!!!!!
So eventually the day came when the trip was upon them and the 5 girls were PUMPED for their trip.
As they steped off the plane into the warm spring sunshine the plans for that evening were already being conjured up (Booze, Booze, Booze and Boys).
The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was an experience to say the least nearly crashing several times en route the girls arrived at their hotel.
A stroll up La Rambla with a quest for food was the first thing on the starved girls minds. Once we had been feed and watered (a nice jug of sangria went down really well) what do you thing the girls did??? yes headed straight for the shops . We wandered down to the "Mare Magnum" (the shopping centre that looks like a Ship) and got very excited with the nice clothes. After a wile we headed to an Irish Bar in the shopping centre for some cocktails.We said we'd pace ourselves the first nite so we headed to another Irish bar where we drank 1 or 2 .
The next morning it was said that there was some sight seeing to be done much to the disappointment of a kerry girl!!!! we had to drag her kicking and screaming from the roof of our hotel where she was sun bathing. We got the Bus turistic around the city and stopped off at several sites along the way including the gothic area the spainsh village and the cable car down to the port although we lost 1 person to sleep on the open deck tourist bus. The Gothic area was reall lovely, we walked down loads of side streets and visted loads of cool little shops in one of which straws in the shape of a mans anatomy was purchased (The straws were put into great use later that evening !!!! and by the way it was not my idea to purchase the straws!!!!Some people have such dirty minds!!!!
After hitting the hard rock for some cocktails and food the girls headed back to their hotel to get ready for their big nite out. After several drinks in an Irish bar the girls decided to head down to the port olympic for some FUN .
After hitting a few bars on the strip and losing a memeber who kept seperating herself from the group and getting herself onto bridges they settled in a place called Zurich. The tunes were banging and the alcohol was flowing after awile of staring at the hot dancers abs the girls decided to meet some nice boys and they did after doing some match making!!!!!!!!!!!
When the tunes stopped the girls headed home but before they did they meet a whole bunch of guys from their homeland and it wasn't long before a singing session began.
The next morning was a late start due to the festivities that ended only a few hours before. Some of us ie. two of us hit the site seeing for a day out on the tourist bus. We took in the Gaudi's house, The Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell. We did really well considering the shananagins the previous nite. Before we got back to the hotel to get ready for another nite of FUN We got paella a traditional spanish dish. It was Chicken Paella not fish Paella we weren't that brave.
After getting ready we went back to the Irish bar where we planned to hit one of the clubs later. After stocking up on the booze we headed down to the port to The Baja Beach Club. And were we glad we did cos the barmen were all hot and were shirtless. I know this sounds like a fun club and it was!!!!!!!!!
They had a really hot guy with abs as hard as a rock (trust me it was HARD cos we kopped a feel .
