Having such a good time in the UK. I can honestly imagine living here for years. Somehow, I find myself surrounded by people who are so pretty in and out. Luving it!!

...I keep on writing my online journal.
I had my so-called leaving party last Saturday. It was not so extrem as I would have expected from such a Drunk Drunk as I have found myself to be (thanks to another tool for killing one´s time...Facebook) categorised. Sure, there is some truth in that...although I have spent relatively dry three months now. lol ...but, yes, on Saturday, I drunk some Austrian beer I had left from my visit to Wien and some really disgusting local vodka that I and my friend could never finish when she was here for a visit.. I cannot imagine someone drinking that stuff and enjoying it...I believe it is used for cleansing, and in case that of the body, then it will definitely feel like you have been mopped and put through the car washing.. ...but it gave me a further reason to go out in town and get a better taste in my mouth by drinking the local dark beer (like Urpiner) that is just perfect! I will miss that drink here if nothing else! ...well, and that one pint was all that I had.

This short evening meant that I had the energy and money to have a big lunch in town the following day. I had my Slovak paradise on a plate, in the form of pancakes/Palatschinken with nuts, marmalade, choco sauce and cream... after having had quite a normal pasta and cheese as the main dish, that is. I was happy with the service (there was one guy who could basically speak in English) and happy with the price. The whole (two dishes and two drinks) cost altogether 10 euros. ..and I was online the whole time. This will hardly happen in Suomi which is not exactly the promised land of broken students.

In any case, I will be back in Finland soon for two weeks...just enough to get a taste of our local goods and meet the family and friends.

The weekend in Vienna was all I needed. Despite the continous problems that I had with my camera, I really enjoyed visiting the Austrian capital that is full of beautiful, historical buildings and has the christmas markets opening. And sure, I was happy to be able to communicate with the people. It made a whole big difference to Slovakia where I have struggled to find people to speak in English or even in German with. Luckily enough, I have found some busy bees to spend time with
However, I meet two people in Vienna who I spent the Sunday with, one from Peru and one from France and in a way, it was like having met soul mates..at least in the sense that they are almost as hooked on traveling as I am. lol

This week, I am seeing all those friends I met here and simultaneously making plans for the few weeks that I will spend in Suomi. On Tuesday, I ended up going out a real time and dancing the night away, so to say...it was rough to wake up half past six the next morning..after maybe three hours of sleep and sit in the office seven hours. Still, that night offered me an idea of the local way of partying...one view. Maybe I am too negative but I saw most of the girls as little btchs flirting around in their fashionable clothing...right, I was probably some years older than them and feel too bothered to act fake...lol ..I can only imagine how they saw me although I do not really care. ..yeah, and the guys..might be that they are in their vunerable teengane years but they were stuck to their seats in the club, acting like cool machos who the girls come to with the flirtive acts...eemm..right, or do not.

On Saturday, I will have my leaving party. I am sad and happy...but I guess mostly happy because I have all my plans for the next weeks pretty much clear...
