I have been recently moaning about how my kids have been driving me crazy and how I need a break. The usual rant of a mother of 3 preschoolers. However last night I got the wake up call that I needed to be grateful for my life and the people I love. Last night Mark's cousin's son who was 4 years old was killed in a car crash. Suddenly this gorgeous little boy who my kids call baby jack was gone instantly and his family's whole world has been devastated. We spent the day at the house today and I watched sheer pain on the face of his father and grandparents. I know at times like these everone comes out with "I'm going to live life to the fullest" and "I'm never going to yell at my kids again". But I can't promise that because that's not real. What I can promise is that I will be more grateful and tell my kids everyday that they're special and that I love them so that if the unimaginable does happen their little souls can go off to wherever knowing that they were very much loved even if mum is a grumpy old cow sometimes.
