First... Womens rights.
Men and women should probably be treated equally, but that is not to say that we are equal. It is a fact that we are anatomically different. I know that that's obvious but people seem to forget this. 6 months into pregnancy boys develop their physical side and girls their emotional side. This means that the steriotype of boys being strong and girls being sensitive is true, and we should act as such.
I don't think it is chance that it is only recently when brains have become more important than brawn in society, womens rights have increased; their skills have become more important and will continue to as such. Survival instincs and aggression have become less important as technology has replaced our need to work for ourselves (too lazy to rephrase).

Second... Materialism.
People give our generation so much crap for being materialistic but to quote Mika we are just products of our enviroment *thanks wormy*. We are advertised to wherever we look, on busses, tv, pretty much any flat surface. There is a seek ad on the right of this page I am typing, and every product we use has a brand name we are familliar with. We are bullied into thinking we are poor and pathetic, losers that no one will love etc if we don't buy the best. We probably have 400x the advertising our parents got, and 600x our grandparents. It is no wonder we spend our time thinking about material belongings when we are being brainwashed to do so 24/7.

Last.. books
So I just finished reading this book and the main character died unexpectedly right at the end. What a rip off. Why do we read books/see movies which could be filled with good things, bu instead remind us of the crappy reality of life? All non-fiction is a form of escape, so why do they make things that hit close to home? Can't there be facts, and fiction? Not merging the two? Or have a merge in something simular to the adults section where mothers can give the readers dirty looks? ... -runs out of steam-
