Yesterday, Eric and I took 2 of his football players to the WVU vs. Pitt football game. It was a really great day despite the fact that we lost the game in the end. It was my 2nd live Back Yard Brawl, and my first at home. We took the guys to a game last year and this year Zack was less shy, we all had a ton of fun. Both of them are looking at colleges and trying to figure out what to do after graduation. It'll be fun to watch them figure it out and see where they wind up, as well as the other few that Eric shares a connection with. We wished we had more $$ to take all of them. Maybe in our next life. We had the dogs with us for a few minutes when we picked the guys up and Tinker really loved Zack. Very funny. Anyway, today we were so dang tired we didn't get up until after 1pm and now we're sitting here with a fire, resting with the doggies, waiting for the Steeler game to start. Although I enjoy my WVU football fun, I often find myself despising football because of Eric's obsession with it. It's not just interest or hobby, it's illness. There's a difference and he's definitely over the limit. Not like I can do much about it though. I think I'll be working on some of my ho-made Christmas presents tonight during the game....might as well try to get ahead on that stuff a little bit. Soon we'll be able to decorate and it'll be a real wonderland....I'm actually pretty excited about it.

Okay....Monday night while Eric was at the Steeler game, someone threw a brick through the front passenger window of our car. They didn't seal any of the Steeler or WVU paraphernalia in the back seat, or the binoculars, or the medicine....they got about $8 in change from the cup holders. That's it. After today's trip to get the window replaced the final damage total on the invoice is $690!!!!! Thank goodness we only have to come up with the $100 deductible! What the hell is wrong with people? Why did this happen? Who says to themselves "This is okay to do" as they destroy someone else's expensive stuff and totally screw them with the ripple effects? It could have been worse, but I'm so mad. Eric says he feels violated. I'm mainly VERY HIGHLY IRRITATED!

Okay, it's officially Thursday early am, after midnight....but in my mind it's still Wednesday night because I haven't gone to bed yet. Where the heck did Thanksgiving go? Last week at this time, Eric and I were busting our butts to clean up this place for our holiday hosting. At least now the place is sort-of tidy. The Backyard Brawl is coming up on Saturday. I can hardly wait. I plan to yell my ass off because PITT SUCKS!!!! Amen.
