Alan Tobin is a 30 year old singer/songwriter from Ardfield. He has been playing since he was 14 years old. Influenced by Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Grandaddy, The Frames, The Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Emm Gryner, John Spillane, AC/DC, Sigur Ros.

Alan Tobin had a very successful 2004 coming to nationwide audiences with TG4's music programme Glor Tire. He finished in 6th place, but he made four TV appearances and sang four songs '16 days-Whiskeytown, Blue eyes crying in the rain - Willie Nelson, Oh!my sweet Carolina - Ryan Adams and Old Shoes(and Picture postcards) - Tom Waits

He has played with artists such as John Spillane, Woodstar, Ollie Cole, Steve Wall, Mark Geary, Martin Finke, Declan O'Rourke & Duke Special.
