To Our Dear Family and Friends,
Happy Holidays to all of you! We hope this Christmas update finds you happy, healthy and enjoying this beautiful and joyful season.
I really can’t believe that this year is over and 2009 is right around the corner. It has been quite a year filled with many highs and many lows! However, we have come out of it much stronger and filled with gratitude for the blessings we have received!
Some of the highlights of 2008~
Jaz and babies moved back home!
Loni Anne went on her mission in July
Fonua Family Reunion in Utah
Finau Family Reunion in Idaho
Andi went on tour with Melissa from NY to Idaho promoting Melissa’s CD
Moved to a different house
Moved Sela from Pittsburgh to Utah
Lyla started working at the post office
As you can see life is business as usual but, of course it is mixed with lots of fun, sarcasm, way too much laughing and of course the occasional (daily) heated debate! Here is our 2008 update!
John-7 and in 1st grade, loves school this year and has played many sports, and perfected more video games! He has lots of friends at school and church and can hardly wait for Christmas! He enjoys reading, watching cartoons and playing on the computer. He keeps Dan and I young!
Spencer-13 and in 8th grade, is loving school and is very much a leader among his peers! He played football this year and, he is the basketball team manager. He loves scouts and his friends at church! He also was the water boy for Danny’s football team! He absolutely LOVED that, even though he heard many wise cracks from the bleachers…compliments of his awesome family and friends! Spencer continues to excel in his “people” skills and I am convinced that if he isn’t an ESPN reporter one day, he will be a politician (an honest one of course)! He was given the most prestigious award at his school last May. They told him that he exemplified everything the school stood for! I was o proud!
Andi-16 and in 10th grade, is doing well in school and is still very involved with her drama and music! She landed the lead role for the local community college production of High School Musical! She was an awesome Gabriella! She is now auditioning for “Thoroughly Modern Millie”. She placed 2nd place in a talent show at the high school, and just wrapped up a semester of voice lessons. Andi is a social butterfly and her calendar stays packed with events and outings with her friends! She has turned into my right arm (much to her dismay) and it seems as if life and home run smoother with her in charge!
Danny-17 and in 11th grade, is attending Parrott Academy in Kinston. He and his cousin Clark Jones are together and having way too much fun in my opinion! He is there on a football scholarship and played very well this last season. He made many great plays and it was neat to hear his name over the loud speaker so many times! He is now working on his eagle scout project and will hopefully have the work done for it by January 2nd. He is still very much a kid at heart when it comes to video games and sports. But, then he morphs into this young man when he is driving, lifting weights and dating a sweet young lady named Emily, who we have just grown to adore. It’s crazy to think he will go on his mission in just 2 years!
Sela-19 and a sophomore in college , is now living in Utah. She was attending Utah Valley University in Orem but, this semester she has transferred to LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. She is having the time of her life hanging out with her cousins, making great friends, shooting videos at 1 am in downtown SLC and going to a dance every weekend! She also has learned the hard way how NOT to drive in the snow as she slammed on the brakes and hit a median. Thanks to her our insurance agent LOVES us even more! She also does many responsible things too like, working at a marketing company, homework and attending church! Sela is very independent and h0 Comments 239 weeks

Family Christmas Letter!
Happy Holidays!
To all of our beloved family and friends, another year seems to have just flown by but it seems the events of 2007 will never be forgotten. Many changes have occurred in our lives and we have met each one head on. Sometimes we came out on top and other times we have relied heavily on the Lord to sustain us, yet again! Kinston, NC seems to work for the Nock’s, it is quiet, small and our ward family is truly that, “A Family”! We think we want to stay forever simply because of them. The kids are growing, moving out and making life so sweet and wonderful for us. Every now and then, they throw in a “whammy” but we always seem to work it out! Speaking of the kids let me tell you all about them!
JOHN-6 yrs is in Kindergarten, we decided to repeat the year again. As far as his comprehension of kindergarten facts go, he understood them just fine but his teacher said his maturity level was not there, I had to agree. He is the baby at home and in our huge extended family so; I knew where she was coming from. John makes our life so fun and interesting. He is smart, spoiled rotten and his one-liners leave you on the floor in stitches! He loves to play video games and on the computer, he loves Sponge Bob, and playing with Molly and Kimmy. Every day, he says he wishes he could play with Donnie!
SPENCER-12 yrs. Is in 7th gr. He is by far my most conscientious kid! He NEVER wants to miss school, he hates being late for anything, and he finishes projects the day he gets the assignment! He is in NJHS, SGA, BSA, yearbook committee and more! He has been invited to compete in the geography bowl this year and he always makes the honor roll at school! He keeps us updated on the latest sports facts and figures and feels free to correct anyone in that department or, any department for that fact! He loves video games, church, playing ball and watching ANY sport or sports talk show! Spencer is smart, intense, and truly one that you want on your side for anything!
ANDI -15 yrs. Is in 9th gr. She is a freshman at North Lenoir HS. She had such a busy summer as she was cast in a professional theatre production of “High School Musical” at the Cape Fear Regional Theatre in Fayetteville, NC! She was Cathy the Thespian. She sang and danced her heart out for 3 weeks! She performed in well over 30 shows in that short period. It was an experience she will never forget! This past October her HS did “Annie Get Your Gun”, she had a blast in that play too and made some great friends. She was invited to sing in the NLHS singers group and she loves learning harmony and new pieces she has never heard before! As you can see, she loves anything that has to do with musical theatre, a love I am sure Melissa (voice teacher/cousin-in-law) has instilled in her! Andi is talented, bubbly, and sweet, she has an amazing personality!
DANNY-16 yrs is in 10th gr.at Kinston HS! Yes, he and Andi go to rival HS! I guess you could say we are a house divided in that area! Danny has loved this year at school; he has played his heart out on the FB field. He was the captain of the JV team and he played many positions, mostly on the offensive line though. Their team are the conference champions, they had a great year! He is now busy weight lifting and prepping for the baseball season. Danny is preparing to work on his Eagle Scout project and has started dating. He loves to hang out with Michael & Clark; they are by far his favorites. He loves to play any sport or video game. He is now working to get his permit, we are a bit late in doing this, we can chalk that up to being Tongan! C’mon, how many Tongans do you know that get their drivers license before their 20? Danny is growing into a wonderful young man who is witty, charming, hard working and fun.
SELA-18 yrs. Freshman In college- Sela is in Pittsburgh, Pa. She decided to go to PTI-Pittsburgh Technical Institute for marketing and advertising. She has really enjoyed being there; she live0 Comments 293 weeks

Well the funny thing is...I wasn't a Ute fan UNTIL the whole family website debate about UTES vs BYU! Poor Ben was look'n mighty lonely so I figured I'd side with him just to add a little spice to the whole rivalry! But then everyone was getting all SERIOUS bout it so I got mad & really went all RED!!
Ema said next year we should go BYU blue just to make everyone mad LOL! But no I'm thinking I'm liking this whole UTE thang...it's growing on me! ha ha. But yeah, it was sooo nice of your Sela to come out to my mom's house to watch the game with us cuz we (ute fans) were very few. Just Ema, Ala sii, your Sela & I. So we had to TRY & out yell Sii & the rest of the Cougarz @ the house. It was a challenge...but not for very long especially towards the end of the game! HA! That's what they all get!
