RIP Dad - Thankfully you're at peace now. Finally. It's been hell seeing you like that so I am so relieved your suffering is over. Missing you loads already but no-one ever said it was gonna be easy. And this isn't goodbye, just "see you later"!!!
Updated - Just finished my Accounting degree at Jordanstown. GOT A FIRST, woohoo!!! Took a year out before going to uni to get my head showered from education for a while and it apparently worked thank God.
I still work for Currys, seven years now. Then we have the more social side of things which mainly revolves around my absolute obsession with Ice Hockey, season ticket holder at the Belfast Giants.
Wanna know anything else? Gimme a shout. Anyone who remembers me from UUJ, Lagan or Stranmillis Primary, say hi!!!
- Music
- Mostly 80s stuff, Billy Joel, Nik Kershaw, Tom Petty etc but fave band from that era would be Squeeze. How sad lol. More recently though, big fan of Avril Lavigne and Blink-182, who are without a doubt the greatest band that ever lived. The Killers are also pretty decent. Kaiser Chiefs and The Feeling would also be up there, "Never Be Lonely", what a track. Snow Patrol - Run is also pretty damn spectacular. My favourite song of the moment though has to be Iglu & Hartly - In This City
- Films
- Simpsons Movie, Dodgeball, Final Destination(s), Loser, Cruel Intentions, Just Married, Just Friends, the Naked Gun films and the Saw Movies. All great movies but fave is probably Wedding Crashers.
- TV Shows
- Don't really watch a lot of TV, apart from the music channels on Sky. What I do watch though, I watch religiously. Hollyoaks, Scrubs and Friends are personal favourites. HUGE fan of Dexter now as well. What a show!!
- Sports
- I like my football, supporting Man Utd (Championes!!!) and gotta love Our Wee Country, Norn Iron - South Africa 2010 here we come!!! Also fan of Cricket and Snooker. Fave sport though without a doubt would be Ice Hockey. Huge Belfast Giants and Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
- Scared Of
- Work (quite happy to bum about for a little while longer before finding real work) and Uni (though thankfully that experience has come to an end, well the lectures part of it has anyway, the partying is still ongoing) Not a particularly big fan of spiders or heights either, it has to be said.
- Happiest When
- When I'm with Siobhan. At Giants' matches with wee bro, being out with mates, Drinking, just generally not being at work/uni!!!

Footprints in the Sand
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamt that he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
'Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.'
The Lord replied, 'My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints in the sand it was then that I carried you.
This verse was on an ornament bought for my dad whenever he took ill, and it will always be one that will bring back memories of that time. It really sums up everything perfectly!!!!2 Comments 322 weeks

Im grand thanks mate, awaiting results of an auditing resit, other than that im bowling away, still!! lol. As for the house its going really slowly, work isnt great, but bowls is super as always Hope to have house sorted for next spring, fingers crossed, would defo like to get out sometime for a drink, but then i cudnt really do that much at uni, so not holding out much hope for now, lol good to hear from you what are you upto these days anyway?
