You need to be able to hit the center of a zombie’s forehead from a reasonable distance if you want to survive.
If you plan on using guns, you probably should know how to fill your own bullets. You may not always be able to find ready-made ammo when you need it. Learn how to do this, carry the supplies needed, and you never have to be short on ammo.
There may be a time when you run out of ammo. You should always have a backup weapon(s)!
Make sure you know how to keep your bladed weapons zombie-splitting sharp. (Including carrying the needed supplies to do this.)
This will help you get all the different kinds of blocks down. It will help a *lot* in the long run. It will also help you if you get stuck face to face with a zombie, without *any* weapons. (The only reason I could think of you might be without a weapon was if you were naked and bathing. Even then it would be wise to have some sort of weapon within arms reach!)
This skill will come in more handy than you think. Useful when you don’t want to smash your way in. Carry your lockpick set with you at all times.
Basic Survival Skills:
Most likely there is not going to be power for long after the dead return to life. You need to know how to find clean drinking water and food, how to build a fire (zombies usually don’t like it much), etc.
It would help if you knew at least the basics of car repair. There sure aren’t going to be any shops open to fix your car!
Also find out how and where to siphon gasoline at a gas station. (Remember - there’s not going to be power to operate the pumps.)
Another thing that is a necessity is how to hot-wire a car. This may be harder to do on newer cars, but it probably still come in handy. Learn this *especially* if you aren’t good with car repair. Then you could always just switch cars in case of breakdown.
1: Organise before they rise.
2: They feel no fear, why should you?
3: Use your head: Cut off theirs.
4: Blades don't need reloading.
5: Ideal protection = Tight clothes, short hair.
6: Get up the staircase, then destroy it.
7: Get out of the car, get onto your bike.
8: Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert.
9: No place is safe, only safer.
10: The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on.
