is it oil and gas you are looking to get into? if so, do you get that imeche magazine every month? There is a lot of aberdeen based jobs in that. there are also a few good specialist websites like rigzone - put your CV on that. another route to look down is through the drilling companies websites like schlumberger, transocean, diamond, weatherford, rowan, kca deutag, vetco, noble, stena, FMC and halliburton. there are loads more plus the big ones like BP, shell etc. i was lucky that the offshore europe exhibition was on at the aecc during the summer but its bi-annual so not on again til 2009. i just went there and handed out CVs. any recruitment agencies up here will sort you out with oil and gas related work. i'll ask our company if they are looking for anyone at the moment and get back to you. try giving your CV to matchtech as well. why the move?

got a job working for an oil related company - designing bits and bobs for rigs. quite good but im still a bit out of my depth with it all! stress 2 was my only resit annoyingly! i only failed by 3% the first time as well! harsh. yeah im here permanently now and dont finish for xmas until the 24th so def up for a pint at some point! when you coming back up then? your work going well?
