you make it sound like being with some automatically kills your independence
to be fair there was about 3 maybe 4 good times about high school most of it sucked horribly we just didnt know any different at the time. i went to a 6th form and it was unlike our school i couldnt believe it at first and now im at uni its amazing being with people who want to be there its great, plus its another few years avoiding taxes
