Music
Everything from Coldplay (especially), U2, Snow Patrol and REM to Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky to even the odd cheesy dance track depending on my mood and situation! I am fairly open to at least listening ONCE to almost everything - EXCEPT maybe death metal and the like. Afterall, music and words are POWERFUL - so I'm careful what I feed myself, if you catch my drift?!
As a random piece of advice, I find a 'wee bit' of jazz last thing at the end of a busy week is a wonderful way to wind down!!! :)
Films
A Time to Kill, The Shawshank Redemption, The Negotiator, Rocky(all!:) I also like a few girly films too, just can't think exact titles right now!
Sports
football - need I say more? TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR Also love playing badminton and swimming - front crawl, NEVER breast stroke! :)
Scared Of
Close friends and family dying very unexpectedly. Also, if honest, malaria - after my latest family member's most recent near-death experience with it in January '06! (Not joking for those who didn't know me then!)
Happiest When
Watching Spurs beating Chelsea after a morning with God! Also sleeping and returning to Northern Ireland's lushious beautiful countryside after a period away.
Books
I'll give just about anything a try for a chapter or two then if it warrants continuing and receiving my precious time it must be pretty damn good!! :)

      What must it have been like to live around the turn of the 20th century??

      I feel like I have more of a clue as I am enjoying this random, restful time out in Ruzina, Latvia.... itš a crazy place, definitely feels a bit like I've stepped back in time, and also still pretty cold!:) Im enjoying the delights of the local food - and even sampled some Seaweed salad from Siberia the other day - and was quite nice!

      Looking forward to my return to the emerald isle...Hope you beboers are doing well...

      just a quick update...
      Latvia is going pretty well (if somewhat COLD :) , I am deeply challenged by the simplicity and sincerity of the believer's faith here. I am resting and taking time to 'be' and not 'do' all the time. It's a real special time for me and the Lord I think, time will tell!
      If you care enough, please pray, for ongoing good times with the Lord and his people here. Drop me a line, would be good to hear from you.

      Also pray for my niece Ellie, having major surgery to remove pancreas in London on Friday (12thOctober). Thanks muchly.
