- I've taught English composition at the college level for going on seven years, which, in conjunction with family obligations, has left precious little time for much else. When I was a kid, I wanted it all, the whole gambit: adventure, travel, intrigue, discovery--the whole enchilada. Unfortunately, most of my life has been wholly unremarkable--it has simply passed me by as I've done what's necessary to do what needs to be done, to survive, leaving me to wonder what happened. On the whole, I'm afraid I've grown rather dull; I've come away from being that wide-eyed kid to being a rather dull, uninteresting adult.
