Me, Myself, and I
well i was raised on a farm and plant nursery at Uruwhenua, Takaka, where my love of native plants first took root. I studied plant anatomy at the University of Uruwhenua and in 1997 i was awarded a Regent’s Fellowship at the University of Takaka, where i completed a doctorate on the Joshua Tree. i have since worked as a botanist for the Department of Conservation and i am a founding member of Project Crimson, il tell you about that later! With my wife Wendy, see died 2 years ago god bless her soul, we wrote a book, called Dancing Leaves The story of cabbage tree in Uruwhenua, which won the Environment category of the takaka Book Awards in 2001. i was well chuffed! i now live in bangor i wanted to see what n.irelands plant life had to over me and to be honest its pretty shit! but that pretty much it! if u want to here more about plants for example - the rubber plant, the Castor Oil Plant, the Chenolle plant, the Saffron-spike Zebra plant etc etc. jus giv me a shout!
