hi everyone,

I'm leaving on a jet plane and never coming back again, Joke! I'll be back next march :)

snow patrol were fab as always. lookin forward to chicane, lorna's engagement party and hopefully a wee send off party for me :D anywho if any1 has any suggestions as to where i should visit on my trip to singapore, oz, nz, fiji, la and san fran give me a shout as any info would be greatly appreciated.

    • The Adventure Has Begun!!!

      Arrived in Singapore safely after a stinker of a flight (12 n half hrs), to be greeted by a heat of 34 degrees at 7pm. Seriously that heat late on in the day is a killer, especially when i rocked up wearing jeans and a hoody!! Don't laugh it was raining back home, hence the attire. The scenery is so beautiful, the city is so clean and the plants, trees and parks are all really well maintained. Oh and there is no litter or chewing gum on the street. Amazing!!

      Anywho i managed to get to my hostel without any drama and without loosing anything, quite impressive by my standards! Found out i was sharing with 2 girls from manchester, a girl from essex and another girl who i can't remember where she was from, england somewhere. The first night was a washout as i was exhausted, so early night.

      I didn't end up sleeping all that well thanks in large part to the lack of aircon in our room :( Went shoppping with Chrissie the girl from essex. Singapore is all shops and little culture!!! Everywhere i looked the city was monopolised by western culture leaving little to no sign that i was in a foreign country apart from the heat and every1 else apart from the tourists were singaporean! It was a good day, really humid so we were both trying to keep in the shops to stay in the aircon. Was really funny i traveled all the way to the other side of the world to go shopping in top shop, there is something wrong with that picture!!! Anyway after chrissie spending a bomb and me spending nothing except on lunch, we headed back to the hostel to chill out. That night was also a wash out as i was still jet lagged and was leaving the nxt day.

      Spent the day at the hostel as i couldn't be bothered spending a bucket load of money on traveling out of the city to explore the local culture. Evening came and i had to leave, so i said my goodbyes to all my room mates, chrissie, natalie, marie and katie and headed for the airport and a 7 and a half hr flight to sydney. Unfortunately when i got to singapore airport and was checking in they said that i couldn't enter oz without purchasing a visa. I knew i had bought a visa already and thankfully had my paperwork wit me, but no the lady at check in was being a biatch and said i hed to get in touch wit sta and get them to sort it out. Thankfully the time difference worked out ok and to cut a long story short i got let through, yay!!! I was told that singapore airport had a pool, so being the team ses member that i am i went for a swim before boarding!!!! i was the regular little ariel (for my team ses girls!!!) :) so i lost track of time and pegged it to juty free and bought 2 litres of absolut only to be told that i had to pick it up at the boarding gate as i was too late to carry them out the shop??? Random, but i went wit it. Got to the gate and was told that i had to pick up my grogg as i was getting on the plane, i didn't question it cos i thought that it would be waiting for me at the plane entrance. Well that was my first rookie mistake of the trip!!!! I asked the steward and he said he'd check up on it for me. 10mins later i was told that it was waiting for me at the gate and that i would have to claim the money back cos they couldn't bring it on board, grrrrrr!!!!!!!! Never mind, i proceeded to drink as much wine on the plane as i could to make up for the hick-up :)

      Arrived in sydney and checked in for my connection up to the brisvegas to meet joh n erik for our mini Loch Insh reunion. Got to brisbane and was greeted by the the two of them and the banter started........
