- In her short but dazzling career the 23 year old songstress achieved major national success when she reached the final 6 in RTE’s hugely successful ‘You’re A Star’ programme, where she performed live on national television, not only for well known judges Dave Fanning (2fm DJ) and Barbara Galvin (IMRO), but also in front of half a million viewers. Her unique voice is without doubt her strongest attribute. Since her successful run on the show, Lorraine has enjoyed sell out concerts and regular radio appearances, particularly on Midlands 103FM, 98FM Dublin and even across the atlantic for KRCX Denver! She has shared a stage with the legendary Saw doctors, Aslan and Damien Dempsey. Lorraine is currently working in Los Angeles, where she now performs with pop-punk guitarist Daniel McClung on the Sunset Strip and in many of West Hollywood’s best known venues. The duo recently returned from their hugely successful Mile High Tour of Colorado, where they recieved an unbelieveable response.

So myself, Dan and Cory are finally back from our Mile High Tour, and I gotta say- I had the best 10 days of my life! I wanna tour forever...honestly!!
Our first gig was in Club 156 in CU Boulder... THE Club 156 where Jimmy eat World, Foo Fighters, Paramore and so many other great bands myself Dan are influenced by have played. The gig went so well. I gotta admit I was very nervous, but I think we pulled it off
So then it was day 2, our gig in the Meadowlark, downdown Denver. This place was like a little hidden secret, it's located in the most dark dodgy part of town.. but is one the coolest venues I've ever been in!! Gig went great and cool crowd. "Speakeasy Tiger", a local Denver band, played after us and I gotta say- They rocked it! They are by far the best band I've heard since I've moved to the states...and seeing as I live in LA and hear so many live bands-
that's a pretty big deal!
Day 3 we had a day off- so Myself Dan & Cory hit Pearl St. to do some street performing- or BUSKING as we irish call it!! We couldn't believe the response! So many people were crowding around us and buying cds, getting stickers etc. SOOO much fun!
One small problem- the cops!! They ended up busting us because we were using a speaker and selling cds...which you need a permit for. (we didnt know...really!!) They warned us that if they had to speak to us again that we'd each have a $250 fine!!!
Wednesday- Day 6- Gig at Conor O Neill's irish pub! Started a bit stressful as we lost one of out cables! We managed to fix the prob and had a great gig...all the lads old college friends were there so it was alot of fun! Poor Cory drank green beer and was v sick at end of the night!!!
Day 7- Studio with Justin! This was a great day. Dan's close friend Justin invitied us to his studio in Denver to perform a song me and Dan wrote for "Cobra Starship". Justin is an unbelieveable producer, He just signed a 10-song deal with Atlantic Records and is currently working on Rihanna's single. We spent the day there writing and recording...v tiring...but I enjoyed every min.
Day 8- Friday! Gig in the Martini Ranch in Denver. This place was my favourite of all to play in-stage and sound system rocked and it was a really nice place. Here we celebrated an early St. Paddy's Day which I of course was happy about!! But I did drink green beer...which meant I had to accept the consequences later on in the night!!!
SOOO much fun though. The manager enjoyed our gig so much he gave us a free bottle of vodka that we drank with all our friends...
So that was it! We said goodbye to Denver and headed on to Vail. We drove through the Rockies, Vail is a beautiful ski-town- Of course I had to be a tourist when I got there and check out the area!! We also got a write-up with the Vail Mountaineer which was pretty cool
That night we did our gig in Loaded Joe's in Avon, got a great response. I must say the colorado people are absolutely lovely. So much more genuine that people in Los Angeles.
Colorado was the perfect place for our first tour We're already planning the next one so watch this space!!!
