NASCAR Sprint Cup 2009
- Me, Myself, and I
- The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series consists of 36 races across North America, every one as competitive as the last. 43 drivers battle it out for a place in The Chase, NASCAR's play-off system in which the top twelve drivers in the standings have their points reset and have 10 races to become champion - every race won by a driver up until the start of The Chase counts as ten extra points when The Chase actually begins.
The four car manufacturers in the Sprint Cup are Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, and Toyota.
The main drivers to watch out for in 2009 are:
Jimmie Johnson: Three-time champion - can he make it four?
Jeff Gordon: Four-time champion, who had a winless 2008 season - will he put it right?
Carl Edwards: Took the title fight down to the last race in 2008 - can he go one step further in 2009?
Dale Earnhardt Jr: The most popular driver - can he put a title challenge together?
Kyle Busch: The most talented, but most hated driver - can he put that talent to good use?
