Rich and beautiful, Cordelia led her clique at Sunnydale High and enjoyed ridiculing those she saw as inferior. She first appears in "Welcome to the Hellmouth," sharing a textbook with Buffy Summers on her first day at the school and showing her to the library. Cordelia soon reveals herself to be a mean, popular cheerleader as she mocks Willow Rosenberg ("Good to know you've seen the softer side of Sears!"), much to Buffy's horror. That night, Buffy mistakes her for a vampire and almost impales her with a stake. Cordelia turns on Buffy and makes sure Buffy becomes a social outcast at the school.
Cordelia keeps finding herself in life-threatening situations in the first season, but often comes out untouched — she is almost killed by The Master's vessel, blinded by witchcraft, and targeted by a psychotic girl she helped snub into invisibility. Cordelia is elected May Queen in her sophomore year.
Cordelia grows to accept the existence of dark forces in Sunnydale and becomes a full-fledged member of the Scooby Gang. A corresponding fall in her social status reaches a low with her publicized romance with Xander Harris. Though she won't admit it, she begins to have feelings for him. She has pictures of Xander in her locker to which he says "I didn't think I was locker material." She answers with "I look really good in those photos." Their relationship ends during their Senior year when she finds him kissing Willow.
Cordelia struggles to revive her popularity when her father's "little mistake on his taxes...for the last twelve years" costs her family everything, including their house and her car, cell phone, and wardrobe. She takes a job at an expensive local boutique, April Fools, to pay for a prom dress on layaway. Cordelia does not earn enough in time, but Xander finds out and pays it off for her. Her brief, mutual infatuation with Wesley Wyndam-Pryce ends with two bad kisses before graduation. Cordelia finds herself helping the Scoobies one last time during the Mayor's ascension with the aide of the rest of the Class of '99. She courageously slays a vamp and helps the other students during the war. Afterwards, she is seen walking off with Buffy, Willow, Oz and Xander and, more importantly, off to her future in Los Angeles.
 Los Angeles
Despite her intelligence and having been accepted to the likes of Columbia, Cordelia is unable to afford college, and therefore, she moves to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Meeting Angel at a Hollywood party, she pretends to be successful, when she is, in fact, nearly penniless, renting a dilapidated apartment, and stealing food from such parties. Her agent is ignoring her calls, and she has no family to turn to, having severed ties. Desperate, Cordelia meets with a producer who turns out to be a vampire.
After being rescued by Angel and talking to Allen Francis Doyle, Cordelia charms Angel into turning his fight against evil into a business. She becomes Angel Investigations's office manager while pursuing her acting career but never breaks out of commercials and plays. She reaches a turning point mid-season when her budding romance with Doyle ends with his sudden death. Visibly devastated, Cordelia attempts to carry on, but during an audition for a commercial, she receives her first vision, a gift transferred to her by Doyle during their first and last kiss. It gives her a powerful ability to help others, and over the course of the next few years, she comes to consider them her reason for being.
As Angel's link to the Powers That Be, Cordelia grows more sensitive to the feelings of others as she experiences the pain of the subjects of each vision. The visions become increasingly frequent and intense, and begin to physically damage her brain. For months, she secretly takes powerful painkillers and undergoes CAT scans that indicate the slow deterioration of her brain tissues. Yet when presented with the opportunity to pass her visions to the heroic Gr

Cady Heron was raised by her parents in Africa. At age 16, she moves to America to attend public school, after having been home schooled all her life. On the first day, she is surprised by all the rules and restrictions that high school has to offer. She struggles to fit in, but meets two students, Janis and Damian, who decide to show her around and offer her insight into the cliques and hierarchy of the school.
One of the groups is known as "The Plastics" – a group of popular and superficial girls – namely, Karen Smith, Gretchen Weiners, and Regina George. Regina is considered the "Queen Bee" of the school and Janis hates her, which Cady later finds out stems from the fact that Regina spread rumors about her sexuality. One day, Cady is invited to sit with them at lunch in the cafeteria where seating is important and restricted to cliques and groups of people such as the Asians, the band geeks, the Plastics, etc. At first, Cady turned down an offer to sit with the Plastics. However, Janis and Damian convince Cady to eat lunch with them so she can report back to them everything The Plastics say and do. For example, Cady is introduced to a book known as "The Burn Book", in which they make detailed profiles about the other girls in their school.
At the same time, Cady develops a crush on Aaron Samuels. Gretchen and Karen find out about the crush, and tell Cady that Aaron was Regina's ex-boyfriend, and therefore, he is off-limits. Although Gretchen promises to keep Cady's a crush a secret, Regina finds out. Rather than telling Cady that Aaron is off-limits, Regina offers to help Cady win Aaron. As a result, Cady begins to talk to Aaron more and more during their calculus class, so that he invites her to a Halloween party. At the party, Regina finds Aaron (after promising to talk to him about Cady), and kisses him, while Cady watches. Cady is enfuriated and decides to leave The Plastics. Janis, however, stops her, convincing Cady to keep hanging out with them so that they can get revenge.
Regina wishes to lose a few pounds, and so Cady gives her "Kälteen" bars, which are supposed to help someone gain weight, under the guise of them being diet bars. Cady also begins to talk to Aaron once again, pretending that she is horrible at math (when in actuality, she is quite good and is asked to join the Mathletes several times). Finally, Cady is able to manipulate Gretchen and Karen into getting angry at Regina, so that eventually Regina is kicked out of The Plastics. However, Cady begins to act exactly like Regina; much to Janis' displeasure.
After The Plastics kick Regina out of their group, Cady becomes the most popular girl at the school. She loses her friendship with Janis and Damian, who now hate her just as much as they hated Regina. Cady throws a small get-together at her house that becomes a huge party. Slightly drunk, Cady tries to make a move on Aaron, but he sees through her, calling her a "clone" of Regina and rejecting her advances. Regina also happened to see the scene take place between Aaron and Cady, and realizes that Cady has been ruining her life. Regina decides to now ruin Cady's life. She gives "The Burn Book" to her principal at school, Mr. Duvall, and frames the remaining members of The Plastics for writing it. However, before she hands in the book, she makes numerous photocopies of it's pages. Placing these copies around the whole school, all the girls start to riot against each other.
Outraged, Mr. Duvall gathers all of the junior girls into the gymnasium, where the girls receive an attitude makeover. Cady's math teacher, Ms. Norbury, is asked to take charge of the workshop. The girls are made to confess the bad things they have done and said about their peers. Janis, still angry at Cady, tells everyone about how Cady, Damian and herself thought up a nasty plan to ruin Regina's life. Regina gets mad and walks out of the school and Cady attempts to apologize, but Regina refuses to forgive her. Re

Lilah is a lawyer for the evil law firm Wolfram & Hart, and in her first appearance, she tries (and fails) to persuade Angel to work for her employers. She then works to kill Angel; she is co-architect of a plan to hire renegade Slayer Faith Lehane in order to do just that. Over time, Lilah and another lawyer, Lindsey McDonald, become rivals, competing for the favor of their superiors.
 Season Two
The vampire Darla is resurrected as a human by Wolfram & Hart and ultimately turned back into a vampire by Drusilla. Darla and Drusilla massacre a group of Wolfram & Hart lawyers in Holland Manners' wine cellar. Only Lilah and Lindsey are spared, and with only the two of them left on Wolfram & Hart's Special Projects Team, their rivalry reaches an all-time high as they start a power struggle for the vice-presidency of the team, as well as for survival. Eventually, Lindsey is offered the promotion, but he elects to leave the firm, disillusioned by the extent of its evil. He tosses his promotion to Lilah, thereby saving her life.
 Season Three
In the third season, Lilah ups the ante in her vendetta with Angel, and blackmails him into freeing a mysterious young man, Billy Blim, from a Hell dimension by torturing Cordelia Chase. In the episode "Billy," the effects of these actions come back to haunt Lilah. As it turns out, Billy is a half-demon misogynist, and has the ability to bring out primordial violence in men simply by touching them. He touches Lilah's newest rival, Gavin Park, causing Gavin to beat her severely. Lilah hides herself and her bruises in her apartment for a time, and refuses to assist Angel when he comes to her for help in sending Billy back to Hell. Later on, Cordelia also comes to ask for aid in ending the evil Lilah helped begin, and Lilah again refuses. "I am not Lindsey McDonald," she states flatly. "I don't switch [sides] whenever it gets tough." In response, Cordelia calls her a "vicious bitch." Lilah shrugs. "So you know me."
"Please. I was you, with better shoes," Cordelia snaps. Still, Lilah asks why she should help them. "[Because] no woman should ever have to go through that. And no woman strong enough to wear the mantle of 'vicious bitch' would ever put up with it."
Lilah gives in, telling her where Billy is going and letting Cordelia go confront him on her own. The final conflict among Billy, Cordelia, and Angel takes place on the runway of a private airport, and Lilah arrives at the eleventh hour to fire the fatal shot, killing Billy and regaining her own sense of self-worth. It is around that time that she also receives a new boss, Linwood Murrow, who joins Lilah in trying to manipulate Angel and kidnap his newborn son, Connor.
Lilah herself investigates the return of Daniel Holtz, an old enemy of Angel's. Holtz has broken away from his partnership with the demon Sahjhan, who wishes to eliminate Angel for his own reasons, and he seeks out Wolfram & Hart. He brokers a deal with Lilah, a deal that ultimately results in Connor and Holtz being lost into the Quor-Toth dimension.
At the end of the third season, Lilah begins sleeping with Wesley Wyndam-Pryce after his betrayal of Angel and ejection from Angel Investigations. She tries to convince him to join Wolfram & Hart, but he continues to refuse those advances.
 Season Four
Lilah's relationship with Wesley, which begins as a series of one-night stands, continues throughout the fourth season, through the emergence of The Beast and the destruction of the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram & Hart that results in the death of all employees present except for Lilah, who is able to escape with Wesley's help. Shortly before that time, she kills Linwood, and once more rises in power.
Lilah is killed shortly after the re-emergence of Angelus, stabbed to death by Cordelia (who is under the possession of the being later known as Jasmine) and left for Angelus to drink from. Wesley is forced to behead Lilah, a
