- Me, Myself, and I
- Rachel Williams likes her country music with generous helpings of straight-ahead slow-burners, big rock hooks and Motor City-bred rhythm and blues. And it just so happens that the Michigan-born singer has the pipes to straddle the genre-bending territory between southern-fried twang, heartbroken balladry and chugging, bottom-heavy grooves. With Lonely At the Bottom—her second full-length album—Williams unites the styles she loves in a potent and mature artistic statement.
At 21 years old and living in Nashville, Williams co-wrote 12 of the 16 tracks as well as co-produced her brand new CD (now available on iTunes). Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you...
The next superstar of country music, Rachel Williams.

The blog that says, "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"
Last night's birthday show was mucho fun for me! We had a great turn-out, a great energy, awesome musicians on that big ol' stage, and one helluva party atmosphere..so it was just a good time all around! Mingling through the crowd afterwards was also pretty cool because there were quite a few people that were seeing my show for the very first time, whether they had heard of me and wanted to check it out, or just happened to stumble across the show while seeing the sights in downtown Nashville. Either way, you KNOW how I love winning people over so I enjoyed it! Haha. No, but in all honesty, it's so great to know that people appreciate what you do, ya know? I spend all this time "harrassing people" via email/MySpace/text messages...helping post flyers all over town...so it's good when at the end of the night, you know you're efforts and angst and energy put forth was rewarded in some way!
So I just want to thank all of you who came out to support me and party with the birthday girl last night! *Muah!*
Special thanks to:
-Billy Block and the staff at Cadillac Ranch...you guys were great! Thank ya so much for having us. Let's do it again!
-My band: James Watkins, Joe Spivey, Adam Lewis, Brian Fullen, Buddy Hyatt and my gospel choir: Vickie Carrico, Ronnie Kimball, and Kim Copeland...yall rocked it!
Also...apparently last night's show WAS broadcasted live (how, I do not know) so I do apologize for not giving ya'll the heads up! However, I'll be making another appearance on the Billy Block Show on Tuesday, October 16th so be sure to tune in if you're out of town and listen! I'll keep ya updated! For more info check out www.billyblock.com
The feedback on the CD is still AWESOME! Ah, so happy...so relieved so...proud! Haha. We're constantly adding new reviews so check 'em out at http://rachelwilliamsonline.com/revi... Other than that and the show, nothing else too new to report...just writing and writing some more...logged in more dates with Angela Kaset, Lisa Carver, Bonnie Baker, Matthew Perryman Jones and some others in the next month...yay!
Also, I move into my new house on October 1st. Still in Nashville, just a bigger place so that my poochies have free reign over a bigger territory, haha! Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it!
My birthday is on the 22nd and falls on a Saturday this year. So what will I be doing? Partying it up Dollywood-style! Some friends and I have a fantastically tourist-y vacation planned. It shall be lovely!
