Long ago, the Inuvialuit, the Gwich'in and the Sahtu Dene used to have wars and battles and skirmishes and such. It was a warrior society with each group trying to out do one another. Times have changed . . .
Last year, after having dug to a depth of five feet, Sahtu scientists found traces of copper wire dating back over a hundred years ago and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than a hundred years ago.
Not to be outdone, Gwich’in scientists dug to a depth of ten feet, and shortly after, headlines in the Gee, Tea, See? read: "Gwich’in archaeologists have found traces of 200 year old copper wire and have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network years earlier than the Sahtu."
One week later, "Tusaayaksat" reported the following: "After digging ten feet near Sachs Harbour,Daduk and Me, are kinda self-taught Inuvialuit archaeologist, He reported that we found absolutely nothing. We have therefore concluded that years before the Gwich’in and the Sahtu, the Inuvialuit had already gone wireless." YA HEARD!!!
