- Me, Myself, and I
- Linkin Park originally became the idea of two High School friends, Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson, the band would be called Xero.
Xero, was formed in 1996, they recruited a drummer, Rob Bourdon, he had played with Brad in an old band that they were in.
Joseph Hahn, Dave 'Pheonix' Farrel soon joined the band after. Mark Wakefield also joined he was to be their lead singer.
Xero recorded a 4 track sampler in 1997, it was released locally.
After having trouble trying to get a major record label to sign them up after 3 years of attempting. Mark Wakefield was dropped from the band.
During 1999 the band recieved a new vocalist, Chester Bennington, he was so impressive when he auditioned, another vocalist trying for the spot left before his turn.
After Chester joined, Xero became Hybrid Theory they made a 6-track self-titled EP. They came into dispute with another band because of their name, so they had to change their name to what they are famously now known as...Linkin Park.
