Me, Myself, and I
Candles are a gift of light
A tiny sun a bit of star
No other dancer in the night
Dances with such sheer delight
Little souls serene & bright
Each a glimpse of what we are
Shining innocent & pure

Two thousand years ago the King of Kings was born
'The Lamb of God' later made to feel the thorn
If his words are accepted & not scorned
They will make us all reborn
Though God's grace Joseph and Mary presented
A gift to the world that day which we can all repay
by living the 10 commandments each & every day
Try to remember & keep in your heart and mind
Jesus's gospel while here on Earth
Redemption not a life lived in constant mirth
Peace on Earth, good will toward man
Everyone should try it, whenever they can
The Lord gave us the option & choice of free will
Now its up to us to fit the bill
So when you’re Christmas shopping for family & friends
and money is tight at both ends
Remember that the greatest gift of all
Is your love of Jesus in the manger stall xxxx

  • CHRISTMAS POEM.

A Christmas Carol poem by G.K.Chesterton

    Make it Snow !

The Christ-child lay on Mary's lap,
His hair was like a light.
(O weary, weary were the world,
    But here is all aright.)

The Christ-child lay on Mary's breast
His hair was like a star.
(O stern and cunning are the kings,
But here the true hearts are.)

The Christ-child lay on Mary's heart,
His hair was like a fire.
(O weary, weary is the world,
    But here the world's desire.)

The Christ-child stood on Mary's knee,
His hair was like a crown,
And all the flowers looked up at Him,
And all the stars looked down

Auld Lang Syne a Christmas & New year poem by Robert Burns

    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And never brought to mind?
    Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
    And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,
    And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes,
    And pu'd the gowans fine;
But we've wandered mony a weary fit
    Sin' auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidled i' the burn,
    Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roared
    Sin' auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere,
    And gie's a hand o' thine!
    And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught

    For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
    For auld lang syne,
    We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
    For auld lang syne.

    Christmas Texas Style

Christmas in Texas is not so much different than any other
A Southern drawl may be noted on songs sung by carolers
Everything is bigger in Texas they say
And that includes celebration on Christmas Day.

It’s not the way we celebrate but it is the why
The Christ child was born and a star shone in the sky
The Angels appeared to the shepherds long ago
Sang Glory to God and made quite a show.

Must have been as beautiful as the big Texas Sky
The stars shown like diamonds above so high
The shepherds went running the Christ child to see
Bowed down and worshipped at the baby’s sweet feet

Mary and Joseph kneeling there in the hay
Adoring their new child on that great day
Weren’t so different than Texas people
Looking at a newborn with great approval

The Wise men followed the star brightly shining
Like Texans on horseback looking quite striking
They went bearing gifts fit for a king
Like shiny bright gold, a beautiful thing

Christ was born to live and to die
That we might have eternal life
He carried our sins to the rugged tree
    That we may live Eternally

Whether we live in Texas, Arkansas, or Tennessee
Christ died for all that we may be free
So on this Christmas let us not forget
Why Christ came and why He left

On this Christmas remember the reason for celebration
From the manger to the cross to the transfiguration
He went away on a bright white cloud
And is coming again blowing a trumpet so loud

Those whom have chosen to serve the Christ
Will be caught away to a land of light
A land that is bigger and better than Texas
A land in the sky that is called Heaven.

So come on let’s rejoice in a big Texas way
For we are celebrating Christ’s birthday
Sing carols, sing praises, sit for a while
    Celebrate Jesus whatever your style!
