Pele on Steven Gerrard
Football icon Pele has hailed the world-class talents of Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and believes he would grace the Brazil national team.
Pele is a big admirer of the Reds midfield dynamo and feels he would fit into any team.
"Brazil is not a defensively-minded team and Gerrard is always going forward and he would play in my team, no doubt," enthused Pele.
"Gerrard is an excellent player, absolutely world-class. If I was a manager, everywhere I went I would buy Steven Gerrard.
"He is what Brazil needs, because he is always looking forward and has a big heart.
"Two years ago I saw Gerrard play and then I saw him in Tokyo in a game against Sao Paulo. I said then that Gerrard is a great player. To me he is one of the best midfielders in the world. He is an excellent player."

Tottenham Hotspur manager Martin Jol believes Steven Gerrard is the man who can guide England to World Cup glory and also feels Peter Crouch will play a leading role.
Jol is a huge fan of Gerrard and also has a lot of admiration for the strengths Crouch can bring to the team, and has urged England Head Coach Sven Goran Eriksson to pick the Liverpool target man in his starting line-up.
"Steven Gerrard alongside Wayne Rooney is the most gifted footballer in the Premiership but the Liverpool captain is my favourite," enthused Jol.
"Gerrard has got vision, speed, a one-two, a shot. He is intelligent. He has got stamina, a package of attributes few in the world can match.
"If Sven Goran Eriksson can give Gerrard a freer role and let him play in the hole, England will join Brazil, Argentina and Italy as the main contenders for the big prize. Luckily, Eriksson has a footballer who can sweep the questions away. His name is Steven Gerrard.

nt sure yet pad, have 2 wait and c, i hope 2 b there or about. we havent got many ppl in but da youth at da club cuming up are vry good but we cud do with backs incase of injuries. We are depending on coonacht backs 2 b playing with us. At least ur havent retired 4rm rugby altogeether
. we beat old cresent at da wkend 17v0 we luked ok, very good defence we have doh. i remember da on da side pitch u hurt ur ankle, silly paddy. Cass is doing grand as far as i knw. wegians gave him a house 2 move n2 so dat shud keep him happy
