close About Me
- Me, Myself, and I
- Moved into a lovely house with Phil at the start of the month, it is so nice to have a proper house with driveway, garage, and front and back gardens, suburbia is lovely. Although our local shop is a Tesco extra.
Still finishing off my thesis, not too sure how long it is going to take, hopefully not too long. I started a job at the start of November, as a Graduate Engineer for ICS Triplex Silvertech (a nice long name due to a merger, but I think they are changing to Rockwell Automation [another merger] but we will see). Seems ok so far, it pays money, YEAH!!
Ready for the new year, which is going to be a little hectic. I need to finish my PhD, Phil and I need to buy a house and plan a wedding, nothing much really. - Music
- The Killers, Bush, Coldplay, Crash Test Dummies, Elton John
You have to listen to Ben Taylor Wicked Ways (it's on his my space) excellent lyrics! - Films
- Back to the Future (all of them!!), Batman Begins
- Sports
- Not really into sport. Rugby men are rather nice though.
Wii sports is pretty good, baseball hurts my right bicep though - Scared Of
- Spiders, Spiral staircases
- Happiest When
- Eating a lovely bit of home made cake, and when I'm with Phil.
- Favorite Cake
- New York baked cheesecake, yummy, Ginger cake, victoria sponge, carrot cake, Christmas cake, any cake really, as long as it is NOT chocolate, ewe!!
- Favorite Cocktail
- French Martini with a raspberry, I love the foamy bit the most.

-
Lauren2/5/09So what you up to that makes this an exciting weekend?
-
Lauren2/5/09I'm having great fun. We had about 3-4 inches in glasgow on Monday evening so we went sledging in Linn Park. Had great fun even though I kept getting flung off the sledge when I hit fresh snow. Other than that there hasn't been enough snow to sledge or have a snow ball fight but I love seeing everything covered in snow - I forgot how pretty it was!! Think the snow will be gone from here pretty soon - it's not meant to last past today!!

It's a bit scary but good at the same time!! In fairness the actual anniversary is on the Saturday but I wasn't sure if we were going to go away - turns out we're not cause we're both a bit skint - don't you love January!! So all this means we can make it on Friday night. Are you still going out? Where are you thinking about going? I'd rather not go to wagamama again, bit of variety would be good!! How are the plans going for the wedding?

Hey, the costume was a bit last minute but I was meant to be from star trek - it's pretty difficult getting a dress with a few days notice. The party was great fun though. I'm not sure about the weekend cause Colin and I will have been going out for 2 years then so we might be doing something to celebrate that. I'll speak to him tonight and find out. how are you anyway? Lx

Ahhh but this is an extra special dress, and you'll totally know when you find "the one" - I went dress shopping with a friend when I was her bridesmaid a few years ago, she tried on sooooo many but when she put "the one" on, me and her mum started crying!!! So you'll know!

That's fair enough about the 26th, just a thought. I always get my ticket at the gate. I've never seen them close to selling out a game. At the most they've had to open a second stand - we usually struggle to fill one though. There is no seating arrangements - its general access. I usually go along with my Dad & Uncle Bobby, get there about 30-45mins before the KO and have a drink at the bar in the grounds. Means you can get a pint and a good seat. Think they sell beer, cider, wine and a couple of spirits. We could always head into town after and get a drink there. That sounds cool about Jools Holland. I'm not doing anything tomorrow so lunch or coffee would be great. Just let me know when and where. Are you heading down this evening? Hope the weather isn't too bad for you!!

Lauren12/10/08That's fair enough. Turns out I've got tickets to a concert that my boss' band is in so is probably a good idea to go and get in the good books. I was surprised at how romantic he could be!! I'm not really that sure about plans for the holiday. I finish on the 23rd - might be a work lunch but people generally drive by the sound of things. We'll be over at my folks at some point on 24th cause its my Mum's birthday - might cook her dinner!! We're going to Colin's parents for Christmas day - still debating going to Irvine to open presents though. Going to see the Edinburgh vs Glasgow game on the 26th in Edinburgh if you fancy it - its an afternoon game? Still not sure what we are doing for New Year - that's still up for debate. Will be going to the Glasgow game on the 2nd anyway so could definitely meet up with you for that. Are you down for a particular reason this weekend or just fancy coming to visit?
Bebo
sorry, sorry, sorry!!!!!!
