hello everyone me again awandering around the globe!!!! just made it back to my little haven in Nha Trang after having done a very brief and historic visit to cambodia basically travelled on busses most of the time from saigon to phenom penh and then siem reap and into tuk tuk land then headed to the temples then back on a bus to phenom Penh and back to saigon and back to Nha Thrang nothing greatly evetful occurred but i have put photos on bebo for you to have a look at maonly of temples and jungle cos thats all i saw apart from the inside of busses!!! not very eventful but definately an eye opener!!
two weeks left in vietnam then to oz where more photos will be taken no doubt

well i know it's been ages and ages since i actually wrote something on here i bet you have all given up even looking, but..............whats the point in writing something when your not really doing anything?
so i've been back to little old england for 2 weeks shopping spree and then headed back to nam for another term, still at rainbow divers in Nha trang diving most days and working on my career prospects as i go along. worked my little buns off and got to the heady heights of idc staff instructor! whoooo. this means i now teach instructors to be instructors so the balancing of diving and classroom work gets a tad lopsided from time to time! let me dive please!!! whilst working i worked off about 25kgs too mum was pleased think she was worried i'd have a fat arse for ever!!! yet again she did'nt recognise me in the airport!!!! whats she like???
so i now rent a house with 2 others vix and george, i took the penthouse suite and purchased a hammock where i have spent many and evening drinking quality red wine,enjoying good company and random conversations about all sorts of mad stuff ;-)
then its still getting up at 530am heading to the stores then the harbour load the boat, dive and back to the stores, if your lucky you have a siesta , if your not you go to the pool to teach or shop shift . ugh (i'm very rearely luck these days)
weather hot here around 33 degrees at about 7am then hotter ..... and a tad humid!
been a barrel of laughs here had a mad crowd of dmt's driving me totally insane with all night and day drinking which ofter spread into days. but they were a good crowd and a good laugh . miss those 6am shifts when they roll in drunk with drunk females from the night club n cause chaos with the customers ( not) all good though
so spare time ( what little there is of it) is spend having facials, massages, drinking eating and generally hanging out with the crowd. had a depletion of buddies this week, leigh finished working for sailing club and headed to china and a big adventure!!! she's hoping to head back and work for Rainbow and keep me sane in the future , like my little sister and personal counsellor ( really miss her ;-() and theres owen who buggered off on his world drinking and party tour again , this is worse noone to keep my back warm!!! oh hum so im back to talking to myself !! decent conversations again anyway they dont question what you think HAHAHA been in vietnam too long!!
so thats me adn again apologies for not updating you more often, i have decided i will be heading back to the uk only under duress or out of being skint! otherwise i will keep wandering like everyone else i meet as were all the same and have no idea where we are heading or what we are doing! great!!!!

ok ........ well i came from new zealand at the baginning of august to meet naill ( the irish vet i met in nz) to travel around v ( vietnam) for 5 weeks. prior to leaving new z i decided at the 12th hour that i ould do the next stage of my diving passion there and hang out in kaikoura for the next god know how long!!!
any way i arrived in saigon or hoi chi ming city as its know here to be bombarded my noise!!!!! horns beeping and 50cc motor bikes everywhere!!! so you hop on the back of one and away you go into the throng of people and fly around the roads!!!! brill
we than went to a beach place called mui ne and hung out there for a few days, sand dune sufing and sunning! back to saigon and then flew to hanoi in the north of the country visited the much talked about halong bay which is totally amazing and beautiful but also very dirty as the boat people live in shacks on the water and yes youve guessed it!!no drainS@! ugh!!!
we than hiked in cat ba island to the highest point and too in the vie of the island and the heat!!!!! all the way though the jungle litterally!!!
back on the junk and head to hte mainaland and the highland tribes of sapa, this was again an amazing place all the padi fields cut into the mountains and the tribes people are so tiny!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were right on the china border !
night train back to hanoi ( ugh) and then the perfume pagoda with was a 3 hours mountain climb to the temple and tam co where vietnamease ladies row you about in kayaks through massive rocks in the padi fields and under than as well !!!!!!!!!!!!
thenwe heared to hue adn did the war thing visiting battle site etc its nearly all cleared now and reconstruction is taking place with the help of other communist states it looking pretty tidt apparently! we than did the dynasys tombs some of which were built hundreds of years ago and tha last being built in 1940!!!
down to hoi an and the centr of the world for making clothes really cheap too!! suits made overnight and bikinis made in hours!!!! beautiful place

further down the coast to nah trang and this is where to trouble starts for me!!!!! diving, naill did his first scuba dive and freaked out alittle but survived i stayed for a week and naill left me to head down to mui ne again!! he left me for 2 days and what happens i decide to stay!!!!
i have signed up for the next 3 months doing my dive masters course here and will probable stay for 6 months to do my instructors course in february ( and mark you said you were commin to see me!) so im mega excited boucing about like a mad thing and i think mum is shocked and naill now thinks im totally mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but overall vietnam is a beautiful place and the people so resilient bearing in mind there history of war, the country is definately in the process of deamatic change and chasing the dollar all the time!
living is really cheap her and the food not bad when you get used to noodels and rice or pay a fortune for wester food ( once a weeek) when i sat a fortue you have to remeber the exchange rate to one pound in 27500 dong!!!!!!!!! im a total millionaire here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my fave place is tam co and its people really funi and friendy and sapa was just so vietnam that we see in the movies adn on tv!
had a great time here with naill and im gona have a great time soon diving with the crew and of course the fish!!!!!!!!!!!
