I don't know what to say really.
Two nights of the biggest drinking of our professional lives
all comes down to this weekend.
Either
we heal
as Trent and friends
or we are going to crumble.
Drink by drink
Finger by finger
till we're finished.
We are in hell right now, people
believe me
and
we can stay here
and get sober
or
we can fight our way
back into intoxication.
We can climb out of hell.
One drink, at a time.

Now I can't do it for you.
I'm too old.
I look around and I see these young faces
and I think
I mean
I drank every wrong drink in the book.
I uh....
I pissed away all my money
believe it or not.
I chased off
any hint of a ripped body.
And lately,
I can't even stand the figure I see in the mirror.

You know when you get old in life
things get taken from you.
That's, that's part of life.
But,
you only learn that when you start losing stuff.
You find out that life is just a game of fingers.
So is drinking.
Because in either game
life or drinking
the margin for error is so small.
I mean
one half pint too little
you don't quite make it.
a couple of fingers too slow or too fast
and you don't quite reach it.
The fingers we need are everywhere around us.
They are in ever can we drink
every short, every funnel.

On this Bobfest, we fight for intoxication
On this Bobfest, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us
to pieces for those fingers of drink.
We CLAW with our finger nails for that drink.
Cause we know
when we add up all those fingers and drinks
that's going to make the fucking difference
between intoxication and sobriety
between Trent and Beaston.

I'll tell you this
in any fight
it is the person who is willing to die
who is going to win that drinnk.
And I know
if I am going to have any life anymore
it is because, I am still willing to fight, and die for that drink
because that is what LIVING is.

Now I can't make you do it.
You gotta look at the bobfester next to you.
Look into their eyes.
Now I think you are going to see someone who will go that extra finger with you.
You are going to see someone
who will sacrifice themselves for this team
because they know when it comes down to it,
you are gonna do the same thing for them.

and either we heal now, as Trent and friends,
or we will die as lonely, sober, individuals.
