How come when 5n made a bebo page 5c go mental saying they stole there idea? And yet when 5c made a page no y-ers got angry at all? And no one seemed to care when they said it was there idea.
Come on people! Show some love for our long lost family! Stupid 5c, think they rule the world.

Dear Ms. White,

We, 3Y, do not wish to be spilt up in Transition Year. Our class is very close, and we feel that if we were to be mixed with the other classes we would lose this special bond that has taken three years to develop fully.

Our class is different to the other third year classes in many ways. At lunch, we all sit in one big group, rather than in tiny clusters as is the norm. We share our lunches, chat together and basically enjoy each others’ company. Were we to be split up, this would cease to happen. In our new classes, we would immediately divide into three groups; the ex-3Y’s, the ex-3W’s and the ex-3X’s. These groups would then subdivide into twos and threes. Happy lunches spent sitting in one big circle would be a distant memory.

We also help each other during class. If someone doesn’t understand something, there is always help at hand. Nobody is sneered at in our class for not knowing the answer. We read each others essays before English, and give out constructive criticism where needed. In PE, even the least sporty people have fun. We don’t scream at anyone for scoring an own goal, or not running fast enough. In our class, encouragement is the buzz-word. If we were split up, we would feel self-conscious and nervous presenting work or playing sport in front of a new audience. We do not think that this is a positive thing. We do not need this extra stress during a period in our lives which is very stressful anyway.

We are ‘Y-ers’ and we are proud of that! We have made conscious effort to put our signature onto our classroom. As soon as you walk in, you can see how close we are. We have made a photograph collage which hangs on our notice board. There is a picture of everyone in our class, plus some photos of the group. Balancing on top of the back notice board are our noddy-dolls. We collected these out of cereal packets last year, and each one has its owners name lovingly written onto its foot. In this little class project, no-one was excluded. For example, I was not able to bring in a noddy-doll for myself, so one was provided for me. Vicky’s sixteenth birthday was last week, and a banner was put up. None of the other classes pay this much attention to each other.

We have been told that the reason why we are being split up is so that we can make new friends in the other classes. We were told not to worry though, because we would still see our current friends during class, because there are so many choice subjects. If this is the case, then there is no point in re-arranging the classes, as we will be making friends in the new Leaving Cert classes anyway.
