The very mention of your name, the memory of your smile, the little things u said and did are with us all the time. Do you make them laugh in heaven , does your smile bring them cheer, do you make the sun shine brighter like you did when you were here, we treasure these memories of which you are part of, for you have left each of us with such a precious gift - you have left footprints in our hearts......


We never thought waking up on saturday the 4april that it would be the saddest day of our lives. On receiving the phonc call we all hurried to be around you in your last hours. As we sat around your bedside we watched in heartache as you took your last breath.


People say that hearts dont really break, but granny i can tell you they are wrong, because that day my heart, our hearts broke in two, and you you didnt go alone, for you took a pieces of each of our hearts with you.. Granny you were so such an angel, you were always there when any of us needed you, you were a wife. A mother, a grandmother, greatgrandmother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin and most of all you were a friend to anyone that needed you.......


Growing up i was privileged to live beside you, and come to think of it i probably took it for granted, its true what they say you never realise what you have until its gone. People say you have gone to a better place, your at peace, but somehow that dosent heal our heartache as we go on in life without you. You were the heart of the family and now that has been taken away but as a family we know from what you have taught us, we must carry on in life, and fulfill our life to the fullest as you would have wanted.

In life you taught us so much, from an early age i visited you on a daily basis, after school, weekends, summer holidays. We enjoyed each others company, u were like my best friend, id tell you all that happened in school, in college, in work, we would share little jokes, and you taught me lifes basic tasks, we did everthing together, cleaning, cooking, painting, shopping, day trips to knock, enniscrone, achill, you liked to be out and about and we loved going with you....

These memories that are embedded within me, help me, through the pain of losing you , and will be with me until the day we meet again


As u were taken so suddenly, we never got to tell so many things but i hope you knew that you were always there when we needed you and we loved you so much, you gave so much and never wanted anthing in return.
