- It's been a slow and steady rise for this five-piece. The last two years have been punctuated by sellout gigs, festival headliners, a chart placing and the recording of their upcoming album with one of the country's top producers - bringing them a long way from the band who started off in school, as a handy excuse to miss the odd class.
It's a classic rock lineup, with Dave Butler's calm and collected stage manner playing the ultimate foil to Scott O'Neill -- a frontman with more energy than a caffienated puppy, responsible for the demise of several innocent tambourines. Lead guitarist Cillian Duane adds his beloved blues into the mix, reliably driven on by Shay Fogarty and Dan Smith on bass and drums.
It's rock'n'roll the old-fashioned way, music that has you skipping back to the start of each track as its end draws close, and with enough melody to occupy your mind for weeks.
Peakin' Trippers have arrived. It's time to get listening.
So does anyone use Bebo any more? Leave a comment if you read this, I'm interested to find out!

First of all, cheers to those who made it to The Village on Friday. Really successful night, great crowd and an all-round cracker of a show... cheers also to The Parks and San Salvador in that regard.
Don't forget to buy the single - 'Forgotten Man' is available from Tower Records, Dublin, musicmail.ie on Main St, Bray (formerly Golden Discs), as well as iTunes, or by texting MUSIC 2374 to 57501.
So what's next?
Well, the new single, called 'Where Were You Last Night?'. It's set to be released on May 29, with two launch gigs at Academy 2 in Dublin - on May 28 and June 6. Tickets for these gigs will go on sale from Ticketmaster on April 6, but more details will follow over the next week or so. As well as that we have several upcoming gigs, a few media appearances, Balcony TV and the recording of the new single and video.
A busy few weeks leading up to the next launch, but that's just how we like it...
Take care folks,
