Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share some poems that I wrote. Before I post any of my poetry I would like to give you an idea of my style of writing. I have been writing since the age of 14. I am someone who writes what they are feeling, which may be reflected in some of my poems. Or I write whatever comes to mind. The poems that I will post will range from the time I started writing until present time. You may or may not notice a difference in my style of writing from the age standpoint.

I hope you enjoy reading the poems that I have written. Please feel free to leave a comment if you like in regards to my poems. As I said before, I like to hear what people think of my writing.

Poem #1: Untitled (Written by Samantha)

While drowning in sadness, sorrow, and heartache,
darkness engulfs the human soul
leaving nothing but an empty vessel
to fill the body.
Thousands of tears are shed.
The heart breaks--- shatters
into millions of pieces.
The mind tells the heart to overcome such sadness,
but the heart continues to break.
Love, happiness seem so distant.
While time and destiny are the enemies,
the enemies of this poor lonely, unhappy heart.
The heart-- the soul wants to be set free,
free to soar high above the clouds.
Free to feel and see the light,
the light of happiness.

Poem #2: This next poem that I am posting is a personal poem of mine. I originally wrote it in memory of my grandmother who passed away in 1986. Since writing the poem I have lost more people who I was close to, and now I have dedicated in memory to all of them too. I hope you enjoy reading it, and I hope that if you have lost anyone who were close to you can relate to the poem too.

My Hero (Written by Samantha)

The night you had left us
I knew all your pain and suffering had ended,
For now you are on your way
To the gates of Heaven.
The beauty, the peace that was in your eyes
Left me knowing that was what you had wanted.
Your final words to me were
"Don't cry for we will be together again".
Then all that filled the room was silence!
Your spirit, your soul was now looking down on me,
Watching over me.
You were my soul and inspiration
And most of all my best friend.
Now that you are gone
I know the true meaning of a hero,
For you have been the one who has shown me this.
At night when I pray
I know you are shining down on me
Listening to my every word.
Until we meet again at the gates of Heaven
You will hold a special place in my heart
For you are my hero, my courageous hero.

Poem #3: Secret Admirer (Written by Samantha)

As the tears
slowly creep down my face
my heart weeps with pain.
I see you in a distance,
and all I can feel
is my heart full of agony.
Silently I cry out to you,
but I am unheard
for you are millions of miles away.
I gaze out my window
and wish on the first star
I see tonight,
hoping you will hear my plea
for I am your secret admirer.
I know, one day,
my plea will be answered
and we will be together
until the end of time.

Poem #4: The Frail Body (Written by Samantha)

A heart full of agony
bleeds--
Bleeds a thousand tears.
A thousand tears which nobody seems to see.
Helpless cries emerge from the frail body
in hopes that it may be heard.
Sadness--- sorrow is all that is felt,
felt by the frail body.
Time, destiny, fate can be one's worst enemy.
Darkness is the only friend the frail body has
for helplessness-- loneliness haunts the heart--
the soul of the frail body.
How it wishes to know what love is,
and to know what it's like to be loved.
They say love conquers all
well I ask, why has love not found me?
Found me so that it will conquer the demons
that lurk inside of me.

Hi Everyone,

I thought you all might like to know that I have passed my personal trainer exams. I took the last exam that I needed to do and pass on March 22/07. I will be receiving my certificate in the mail sometime near the end of April. I can now officially call myself a Certified Personal Trainer.
