About Me

Me, Myself, and I
This is Kington Town under 16s and we compete in the Herefordshire Under 16s league. Despite being towards the top of the league for 7 years we have never entered in a higher division despite much consideration a few years ago. The league and cup double is a strong goal for 'townies' this season despite being off the pace last year.
Phsio Dave Anning and assistant Ian 'Carlos;' Yates continue to run affairs this term, Dave is in his 8th campaign with the orange.
After a turbulant start to the 07/08 campaign things are looking up for the town after the lucrative signing of Joey Pritchard who has had a spell out of the game and Chiz from Hylton who recently dissolved.A high point of this season has been securing a place in the cup final at Edgar Street thanks to a 1-0 win over Lads Club.

These results leave the Orange top of the league on goal difference after 1 game.

  • No Game Sunday

The Town are without a fixture this weekend which will do the squad no harm with a few players carrying little knocks. Scott Phillips and Nick Evans are both nursing niggly knee injuries but will continue to train.
The Orange wait till next sunday for there cup fixture against Bartestree.

  • Kington 6-0 Hylton

Kington kicked off their new season with a delightful victory at the hands of Hylton.
Although it took 20 mintues for the rusty townies to take the lead when they did their was no looking back. Stand in skipper Nick Evans won a free-kick by the by line and received a quick pass off Josh Watson, Evans shot struck a Hylton defender but only to fall to Watson who majestically curled the ball into the top corener from 20 yards.
This goal settled the orange down to play some sharp passing football and the second goal came shortly before the break. A fluent team move found Evans on the edge of the box and he played a neat through ball to left back Jack Bowen who smartly finished into the bottom corner.
Kington wasted very little time in adding to the lead after half time as Evans netted his first of 3 goals with a smart finish of Jake Collet's throught ball. Evans added two more in similar style after through balls from Taran Lewis and Joe Penrose.
The goal of the game, atrguably, came from sub Sachon Morgan. He turned his defender before beating another and cooly rounding the keeper to finish for his first of the campaign.
All in all it was a superb Kington performance watched by a healthy crowd at Mill Street.

Kington Line Up- Matt Thomas, Ricky Dyer, Taran Lewis, Matt Cooke, Josh Watson, Will Goodwin, Jake Collet, Joe Penrose, Scott Phillips and Nick Evans(c)
Subs:Jope Prosser, Jack Hughes and Sachon Morgan
