I want/NEED to kill my mom. She has almost quite literally torn out my heart, taken a bite, chewed, spit it out, then ground it into the carpet like cigarette ashes. She refuses to believe that Meredith Manor is the right thing for me. She thinks the best thing for me is a 4 year college; to only minor in horses, and major in some other shit. She's delusional, she thinks I can get into Virginia Tech. Hell, with my grades I dont think I can get into much. And frankly, I dont want to get into anything else.

WHAT THE FUCK ELSE WOULD I DO?!!

I think anyone that has known me for 5 minutes knows that I would die if I had to go to a 4 year liberal arts college.
My mom, in laymans terms, fucked up both of my brothers. Mathieu, my oldest brother, wanted to be an airplane mechanic, but they didnt think it would work, so they made him do something else. It took him 7 years to get through a 4 year college, because he didnt like what he was doing. He still doesnt. Luke, my other brother, just chose something that he was interested in, wasnt crazy about it, just interested. And he's living at home, with two jobs that have jack shit to do with what he studied. Even she isnt doing anything to do with her major, in fact far from it. And my mom is pretty much making me follow their path, failure.
As I have had MANY people regurgitate into my face, "A college degree now, is what a high school degree was 20 or 30 years ago, you need it just to flip burgers at a fast food place." And those jobs are being filled by our beloved illegal immigrants. College is too broad, many people now are wasting their times going to college then finding out that the profession they want needs more indepth and hands on experience. While those that were smart, went to a trade school, got the hands on experience, got the indepth knowledge that is otherwise not taught in a 4 year college.
Don't get me wrong, a 4 year college works wonders for some people who have found just what they want in a college, or just aren't sure what they want yet. But those that have found exactly what we want, and can't find it in a 4 year degree, must find an alternate, whether it is just interning or apprenticing with an expert, or if its going to a trade school. Sure, it may be more expensive and over a shorter period of time. But you can be sure that they will be thorough in your education. You can be sure that you will get the hands on you need. You can be sure that you will have a job in your field. You can be sure that you will get the jobs that a student who went into a 4 year college may have gotten. And you can be sure most of the time that you will be better informed to do the job.
Hell, if Meredith Manor doesnt pull through for me, if it isnt all that I've ever hoped and dreamed, I can make a bunch of money, and go back to school at NOVA or something. For me, not a big loss. I will have tried, more than I can say for my mom or brothers. My mom complains that we never listen to her. Well I know my reasons for not listening are completely grounded.
