Well hey guys! Alright, I was just kidding in that last blog where I said that college was easy. And now I have taken my first World Civ exam.....geeze!!! That's all I'm gonna say. I studied for 2 1/2 hours, and I still felt like I was reading a foreign language. That was a beast of a test. But oh well......hopefully it'll all get better!
Well, I am no longer single...it's actually a really weird situation, so I'll spare you all the details. Anyways! His name is Jason, and he's a really nice guy, and a heck of a trumpet player!! I've just got lots of things to figure out before I decide where I want this to go, or if I want it to go anywhere.......and that's the part that I'll spare ya! Other than that, everything is going just great! I can't wait for this Saturday to get here! I will be venturing to Guitar Center in Greenville with some friends....too bad Atlanta didn't work out though! Oh well, it's all good! Well, I'll catch you guys later! I'm OUT!!! Hey folks! How is everyone? Well, things here are great! College classes so far are a breeze......but then again, I say this before I have taken my first World Civ exam. My opinion might change after that test is given! But besides that one, they're all so easy. My math class for example, I decided to take the easiest level math since I'm a music major and don't need any more than 3 hrs. worth of math credit. Okay, so I was sitting there the other day, and I got EXTREMELY sleepy, so naturally, I went to sleep. It wasn't like a deep sleep or anything, just enough to not be fully aware of what was going on around me. Well, about the time class let out, I woke up and was called on to answer a question based on the lecture that I had just slept thru.....oh but here's the funny part.......I answered it right! I didn't even have to hear the poor ol' professor lady say a word to know how to do this problem. And that, my friends, is the easiest math class in the world!
Let's see here, as far as my "social life", I've made so many new friends it's not even funny! But I still really miss my old friends and want to see them all again very very much. Ummm, I've been on a few dates with this one guy from SWU, but I don't see me actually dating him. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy and very nice, but there's just something about him that drives me insane! But it's all good! And besides all that goodness, I've just been chillin'!! And for the millionth time....I miss all you guys so much! Write me or something sometime and let me know how y'all are doing! AIGHT??!!! I'M OUT!! Have a great day!***Laurie***

Howdy everyone! I hope that yall are doing great! I am doing just fine now that college has started and I'm starting to settle in to the whole new routine. I LOVE COLLEGE!! It is so much fun........and I've made tons of friends already! I've even got a guy trying to talk to me, but who knows where that will go(no where i hope, besides friends). But the people are awesome and the whole school is just great!
Well, Nikki and I have yet another playing job besides the one in greenville every sunday. We are now playing in the "pit orchestra" for the Oconee Community Theatre. Actually, it's the worst playing experience we've ever had. It's not that the music is hard, it's just so unorganized, and it needs very desperately to be organized and on a tight schedule. We came home from the first rehearsal and we were just so stressed out and aggrivated. Oh, and the pit orchestra consists of me, Nikki, and a pianist.......now, I know the numbers seem overwhelming--I mean, come on, who's ever heard of an orchestra that large?!! Crazy, right? So yea, this is Oconee County's attempt at a fine arts department, and they are failing miserably(at least in the music department). But hopefully things will get better. We're gonna stick this one out and never do it again!!! And that, my friends, is one profession I will NEVER go in to with my music...Broadway, I am running far far away.
Oh wow! I just remembered something that I haven't posted.......I now have tie-dyed bed sheets! Whoohoo! I tie-dyed them myself about a month ago! That was some fun stuff! They look so cool! I'll have to take a picture of my bed and post it on here for u guys......I think you'll enjoy it! I got a little carried away in the process and ended up with dye all up my arm...so I had like a bluish, greenish, yellowish, redish, orangish colored arm for a few days! Good times, good times!
