About Me

Tagline
Time is not made out of lines. It is made out of circles. That is why clocks are round.
Me, Myself, and I
My name is called Jack. I have a Fender Jazz Bass. His name is Geddy. He is my friend.

I have too many games! Maybe I should actually go back and finish some of them...

NBA at the O2 was one of the best moments of my life! Glad I got to see something good at that dome...

Upcoming events include Michael Jackson's This Is It...albeit at the cinema as opposed to the O2.
Favourite Bands
Michael Jackson, Rush, Megadeth...and Pearl Jam seem to be finding their way into my favourite playlists these days.
Favourite Games
Pretty much anything that scores over 7 out of 10 in the PlayStation Official Magazine UK. Currently playing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and NBA 2K10.
Favourite Films
Too many to name, so allow me to give you the categories; most comic book movies, Monty Python films, anything with a time travel storyline, trilogies, any Disney movie made between 1989 and 1999.
Penguins
Where? Shoot, I must've missed them...
Yes?
No.
Dysception
The band! Currently writing our own material, the recent addition of jazz bass is sure to enhance the experience.
Penguins
I'm not falling for that one again!

  • My Musical Resume

With my new jazz bass in hand and my new amp on its way, this might be a good time to keep a record of what I can do with the thing. This might end up being used for professional reasons, who knows, but for now this is so I'm not constantly sitting on my bedroom floor, trying to remember which songs I can play off the top of my head.

    Thunderstruck - AC/DC
    Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith
    Iron Man - Black Sabbath
    Feel Good Inc. - Gorillaz
Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses
I Want You Back - The Jackson 5
    Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas
    Countdown to Extinction - Megadeth
    Crush 'Em - Megadeth
    Peace Sells - Megadeth
    Enter Sandman - Metallica
    One - Metallica
    Bad - Michael Jackson
    Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
Get On the Floor - Michael Jackson
    Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson
    Knights of Cydonia - Muse
Come As You Are - Nirvana
    Money - Pink Floyd
Bombtrack - Rage Against the Machine
Killing In the Name - Rage Against the Machine
    The Analog Kid - Rush
    Anthem - Rush
Closer to the Heart - Rush
    Driven - Rush
Leave That Thing Alone - Rush
    Limelight - Rush
    Malignant Narcissism - Rush
    One Little Victory - Rush
    Roll the Bones - Rush
    Tom Sawyer - Rush
    YYZ - Rush
    2112 - Rush
Whatever You Want - Status Quo

    Chemistry - B
    Computing - A
    French - A
    Maths - B
    Physics - A

Yes, I took French. But I seriously thought I'd get a C for Chemistry. Maybe now they'll let me do Advanced Higher Computing. Comment if you wish to share your results!

Its not the swine type... because Swine Flu is flu.... not 'flu like'. I am coming into school tommorow anyway, despite the fact that it feels like I have a fat person sitting on my lungs.

Balls to that? http://redvsblue.com/groups/profile.... Also, what's with Steven's School of Motoring? I can actually drive you know, I'm the expert around here ;) what you do, is hold the clutch fully down, then the accelerator, handbrake off, close your eyes and suddenly let go of the cluth. trust me

To find the bite point (a different way from the video), is to rev the engine slightly with the handbrake on, and slowly move the clutch pedal until the rev's begin to drop (the car might dip abit), as soon as this happens, stop moving your feet, and hold the clutch and throttle where they are (if the car begins to stall then push the clutch a little bit more). At this point take the handbrake off. You might need to move the clutch towards you a little bit more, but the car should begin to move. Once the car is slowly buidling up speed slowly move the clutch towards you until it is fully off, whilst slowly adding more throttle.

The bite point is the point on the clutch where it starts to 'bite' and the car moves... When you drag your shoe across a wooden floor, the more pressure you add to your foot, the harder it becomes to move your shoe because of friction., it is the same principle except in reverse, you are removing pressure on the pedal to create pressure on the clutch plates. This is a good video to get the basics : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B59-p...

If the car is lurching then you are doing it wrong... Find the bite point before you take the handbrake off, and then don't move your feet, then take the handbrake off, and move the clutch as slow as you possibly can, and when the rev's begin to drop SLOWLY squeeze the throttle a little bit more... trust me. I have the DVD... Also look on youtube there are some guides there as well.
