ok. so there comes this time of the year when the teachers spend weeks on end giving us lectures about how serious the school certificate is, and how essential it is to our education...for those of you out there who have not yet had the joys of the school certificate, it goes something like this. it all starts in year 9 when the teachers emphasise that you have to "keep all your study notes for the school cert." ...what study notes? so after 2 years of hectic build up i am finally here and it's the biggest piece of crap you've ever seen in your life. the board/bored of studies spend millions printing up these tests that no one really gives a shit about...but apparently our entire life depends on it, so i better be off to study. cough. wheeze. xxoo

Coffee is basically taking over the world - i mean how many people do you know that "can't surive a morning without coffee?" while for the most part this probably isn't true...i coffee-fasted for 15 years of my life and still live to tell the tale...it's more the idea and lifestyle of coffee that is so appealing. the ultimate coffee utopia is the chic businesswoman clacking along the sidewalk in her 10cm heels donning a monstrous all-famous starbucks foam cup and leather briefcase (a la meryl streep in "devil wears prada"). coffee is that tiny little cobblestone cafe you run into when it's raining and is always awaiting you the morning/afternoon after the best (and longest) night of your life. coffees are a lot like people... in every country, available on every corner - they come at different prices, in different colours and sizes, under different names, some are revolting and some are heaven in a cup....so think about that next time you pass a coffee shop. this one's for maddy xo
